So, it seems that for whatever reason some videos lately (like the ones from TasVideosChannel, which curiously hasn't "upgraded" to Google+) are using the old comment system. So, through some experimenting I tried to make a comment without a Google+ account. Surprisingly it worked:

Let's delete the node "link-gplus-lb" from the HTML to remove the dialog box.

Let's also delete the node "yt-dialog-bg" to "regain access" to the webpage.

No Google+ Account, commenting!...

...and the comments stays on the page.

This is the video this method was tested on.

Note this also works for livestreams. While it is not shown, I can actually delete that comment too. I'm still amazed this method works, although it doesn't work with most of the videos, since they use the new comment system.


Let's see how much time will it take for YT to ruin this actually *good* "feature" (or to force the new comment system).

If only I'd known before nearly lost all my videos trying to create a Google+ account! (At least, if this worked with all videos).
