I was just wondering if anyone here also had the idea of finding game related things like prototype info by using the Wayback Machine. For those that don't know what it is its basically a database that (if you're lucky) holds snapshots of various websites of what they looked in the past. This means that its possible to check a site before a game was released (aka in development). To test this i went onto nintendo's Japanese & english websites using it.

Correct me if i'm wrong but on the Japanese site i found pics of Legend of zelda 64 (probably orcarina of time) with what looks like darker hair here: http://web.archive.org/web/19970605014648/http://www.nintendo.co.jp/n01/n64/software/zelda/index.html

Also, You can probably find it elsewhere but i found the exact specifications of the Gamecube on the english site and i thought you might find it interesting: http://web.archive.org/web/20001109141300/http://www.nintendo.com/gamecube/specs.html

I could probably find alot more using it. Feel free to suggest sites to look up and search through.

I've used it before trying to track down earlier updates of Mata Nui Online Game, but that's about it for me searching through time for game tidbits

I've used it to access the Nintendo Power service lists (both SNES and GB), but there's nothing in there that could be added to TCRF's wiki (I just wanted to check out the manuals for the NP games I own, out of curiosity =P).

Reverse images search engines are also usefull for finding the "history" of images on the web.
