As a Mother 3 fan, I jave to say I like the music more than the new stage.
Although, the new stage does look fun. :3

I actually thought about 15 minutes before seeing today's update, "I wonder what new Metroid stage will be in Brawl, aside from Norfair. It'd be cool if it was shown soon, though I doubt it because they've already shown Norfair and no other series has two stages shown yet other than Mario." Then I checked and it was there.

I'm not sure. Has Ridley been put in a SSB game yet? Kraid has, with Melee's level, but I don't think Ridley had a chance to yet.

Ridley is just about confirmed in someway to be in Brawl. Signs point to yes I'd think. Metroid's big enough a series now to warrant a second character and I don't think many want to play as (clone) Dark Samus. Kraid's too big, Draygon is too big, half the bosses from the Prime series are too big, the Hunters from MPH would be meh (to me...) and nothing else is a big enough name to be a playable. Ridley is well known aas a classic Metroid boss. And if he's not playable I fully expect his inclusion as a boss for Subspace Emissary. Why else is his music in the game?

Don't bring this as evidence for him being in the game. They have a song of X and in no way is that game going to be in Brawl according to the site other than that song.

Not saying he won't be in it, but let's not just say "I want this character in, let's get some evidence to back it up." and then get upset he isn't in. There have been random suprises for characters with absolutely no evidence to show they were going to be in it and here they are.

Ridley/Meta-Ridley would make an awesome character on several levels. He's the only person I can imagine as possible for another Metroid character. Too bad his music isn't evidence enough to support his inclusion. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.


Also, I can't get enough of that music, and I've never played the game!

You really should. It's the most epicly awesome import game you will (Or wont ) ever play, along with some of my personal favorite video game music. You don't even need to know Japanese/have a translation guide to understand the story or beat the game.

I could see Ridley as a character. He'd have to be a lot smaller, though. (I won't really get weirded-out by a small Ridley, anyway )

Charizard is as close are you are ever going to get to a character of Ridley's type ever getting in. Be honest, how could he ever feasably work in a game like Smash without everything just being unbalanced? I thought this of Charizard too but at least they're making it work. Ridley probably couldn't even fill a movepool if that. As much as we'd all like to think he will get in, it's incredibly unlikely due to the nature and form of his character.....

here's the part that a lot of people seemed to overlook. I can see Ridley as a boss easily, and consider it very likely in fact. But as anything else? So unlikely even I would bet money on it.
