| Nothing about this story really surprises me. There are always going to be kids who are going to be little assholes. Anything they can pick out that is different from the norm will be a reason to them to make some other kid feel miserable. I shouldn't be exclusive though, adults can be intolerant assholes as well.
The school's decision to tell the kid to leave the bag at home is a cop out. The whole idea of "kids will always be assholes" is exactly what causes responses like this- oh yeah, kids will be kids, just get rid of the thing you're bullying over! Whatever, certainly can't change that!

| I agree that what they chose is quite wrong. I happen to hate My Little Pony but i definitely wouldn't punch someone because of it or tell them they can't wear it to school anymore. |
