Hello people I don't know if this is the best time to introduce myself but I'm here and all so.
You can just call me Zero.
I especially like windwaker too.
And I was wondering since I really like seeing all the cool programs people make for games.
I was wondering where a good start would be to pick up programming.
I studied and tried out the code at a place called nehe too.
I wish I could be someday like the people I hear so much about around here and the stuff they do
Like How I heard about famous people here like xDaniel and other smart folk.
I am still trying to grasp C++ and I am thinking about C# too.
Does anybody know where a good place is I could begin.
Also Since I do I was wondering. Does knowing how to use a hex editor and read hex help?
So I hope someone could point me in the right direction.
Also If It's ok I would like the topic to remain for other people who may want start up help too. |

Oh, Lunaria, what would we do without you? Aside from cheer?
Hey, Zero. If you're looking to start programming, then C# is a good language to learn because of its syntax and the fact that you don't have to do much memory management, unlike C++. However, if you're looking to program across more than just Windows, then C# is less suitable, since it's designed for Windows only. However, there are things like Mono which allow .NET programs to be run on non-Windows platforms. As for where to begin, you can't go wrong with the MSDN tutorials, written by the people who wrote the language.
