Look 'ma! I've just reversed this thread!

As an easy game (at least now - back then some parts were considered insane) there is one that stands out for being both that and very fun:



Instant turn, no momentum, being able to twrow things around, the flying hat, all the bugs this game has, and the list goes on and on. The sequels are harder than this game, ho ho (but still they're relatively easy compared to certain other series).

Another one is Speedy Eggbert. While most of the game is fine and dandy, only a couple of levels near the end is actually hard. The second game adds more diffuculty for sure (and you can no longer grab extra lives from a level and keep them if you exit right away) - I consider the first one easier. Still, in either games there aren't many dick moves in the level design, although there are some quite nasty things in the late levels of the second game.

So, are there any easy games you've played?

Hrm, I remember Mega Man 6 as being ludicrously easy. Part of it was experience from the previous games, but honestly, they turned the difficulty way down for that one.

It just may be a matter of opinions but MM2 was easier (maybe because in comparision to the first the chopped down difficulty is obvious). The MD version is even easier and it's not only for the extra lag.

MM3-4-5-6 were harder for sure.

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow was really easy for me, I never really had any trouble with bosses nor the normal enemies. The only time I had problems was probably with figuring out the "real" ending.

I always thought MM2 was the easiest, aside from the badly designed Crash Bomb boss. As for the easiest, it might have to be Metroid: Zero Mission. Once you know it, it's the easiest to plow right through.

Easiest to plow through, yes, until you try for the Hard 15% ending and the Hard 100% timed ending, unless you already know what you're doing I'd have to say though, the Ridley in that game is by far the easiest.

Stand underneath, aim up, fill him with Super Missiles. Yeah, pathetic. Though, if you do the bosses in reverse order, Kraid dies before his first attack, if you're good enough.

Mecha-Ridley at least provides a challenge at 100%.
