Do you own a pair of these?

Mah 3D Glasses

I've got the blue ones from a not-old-but-not-that-recent IT magazine. That's what I use for Virtual Boy videos on YouTube along many other things for example.

The yellow ones are sort of leftovers from the SpongeBob 3D Movie (I don't remember which one). I've brought these glasses home and they are awesome as I can't find a way to make them work. Even the instructions say they won't work for anything else but I keep trying like an idiot. :/

Not really so bothered with 3D when you have to wear peripherals, seems a bit too gimmicky for me, stereoscopic is fine though~

I do have lots on LG branded ones though which I don't remember where or when I bought them.

It's not that bad... as long as it doesn't happen way too much. It gives the same effect of playing games on the Virtual Boy. In other words, headache. Even the non-working glasses STILL give headache for some reason.

A thing to add: My widescreen TV has support for 3D, too bad it requires a different pair of glasses and most of the TV programs don't support 3D Anyway (and I don't buy DVDs, let alone 3D HD DVDs as much as before), and there we go on wasted features.

My guess is polarized filters. Try this: go into the bathroom and look into the mirror. Put on the glasses. Look at the reflection of the glasses using only one eye at a time.

Alright, it's been fun, but nobody here can figure out what the hell you're trying to say. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

Hey, with this method I've just realized one lens is darker actually than the other (or maybe it's just an effect, since it looked the other way around every time I "switch" eye). It gives a sort of effect that I can't describe (it's similar to the red-blue 3D glasse effect but without red-blue and without 3D, sort of). It looked wierd.

Also useful to see otherwise invisible stuff if in front of a monitor. All the dirt from my glasses was clearly visible (or it may be also because the yellow 3D glasses were already dirty on their own).

Yup, that's the effect of polarized filters. They only let light through at a given angle, and when rotated 90 degrees, they block perpendicular light. This makes it impossible to see light through *both* lenses in sequence, which makes them ideal for stereoscopic video. Unlike the red/cyan solution, polarized glasses don't degrade color.

Too bad YouYube doesn't support those type of glasses.

It's quite a shame since that's the only (real) use for now...

You would need a 3D monitor/TV for such a mode to work, and those glasses don't work with those displays anyway.

The widescreen TV I'm talking about is not the one I use as monitor.

It's another one in my living room (it's HUGE, more than double of my current monitor's resolution) and it has 3D support. There is also support for some 3D glasses apparently but I don't own those types.

I had a pair of 3D glasses from Nickelodeon which actually used colors for 3D effects.

That is, when you looked at a rainbow, red would pop out the most, and blue would sink in the most, with yellow/green being in the middle. As a kid, I'd mess around in Kid Pix making 3D pictures that used the glasses. It was pretty cool.

I have a pair of red/cyan 3d glasses, but I think they degrade over time, because the red frame is fine, but the blue frame lets a lot of other colors through, including some red.

I've got a couple pairs from a colbert book someone gave me.

I've been really wanting to get a 3D painting from tripper dungan. just terrific. I wonder how he does it.
