The game is on it's way too completion and the dev is trying to push to get it on Steam via greenlight. (Since who doesn't want to be on steam these days?) I'd try and explain the game but, well, to be frank I think I'd fail; Just watch the trailer:

Yeah the whole game takes place in the virtual world and the main character can combine several different abilities based on what is copied into some pretty nifty moves. Someone described it as kirby 64's system on crack, I'm not sure I agree with that statement, but you get the point.

I watched the preview and I just felt wierd. Did Michael Bay direct this game?

I remember while browsing on steam some weeks ago a game like this, but now it seems they finally posted a video about it. Although it looks fun, too many particles effect can confuse me, and the difficulty seems to be like the NES Mega Man games. Two things that shouldn't go together, if there isn't any way to set the particles. :/

I expect there will be one - it would be an insane design choice not to do so.

I've known the creators for years (even before they started working on this game), and I can vouch for it. The universal complaint seems to be that it looks very hectic and some people don't like the particle effects and whatnot, but they've recently created a way to turn these off. The game itself is super fun and entertaining, and as Lunaria said, it's essentially Kirby 64 on crack.

The designers have a ton of passion and want to do this for a living. Both of them started off making SMW hacks, so they've come a really long way. They're looking for any support they can get, so even if you click the "yes" button on Steam and give the game a shot when it came out, I think it would mean a lot to them.

Okay, that's important, mostly because of how powerful both my notebook and my desktop's hardware is - the other reasons are less important.

This is because a Win7 PC with 4 or 6 GB of RAM can never be as fast as an XP computer with 128 MB of RAM, but that's a story of another time.

Anyway, other than this problem, the game looks really fun, so I'm looking foward to get this game. Let's try...

On the topic of the actual game, is there some sort of demo or such? The trailer didn't really captivate me, but it feels interesting enough to give it a small spin and figure out how it plays.

Positively unplayable.

The default button layout feels weird, the whole game is effects upp the arse (even when turned down to simple) and confusing as all hell.



There's literally shit going on everywhere and just bullets and what? How am I supposed to understand any of this?

The real reason why that XP PC is faster is because while I've installed a truckload of software on that machine, it's all old 90s and early 20s abandonware (except VPC and Office 2003). Guess why is much faster than a machine almost filled with modern software and Adobe CS2. :/

Anyway, I've did the test of this game with my piece of shit notebook and yes it works on the low settings. I don't even want to try the highest settings (considering how well it runs EPSXE, unrelated).

It's a very fun game (nothing else to say, it's simply fun). Also, it's brutally hard if you aren't used to the controls.
