| I've found that the best way to protest Google's forcing Google+ down peoples' throats is to just set your Google+ tagline to "google+ sux" |

My "primary" YouTube actually uses a G+ page I generated for "Madness Ore" (which is just my tumblog's name) so it doesn't really use my name. Not that Google really has it anyway. That's a getaround, essentially to make a puppet ID (where almost all your settings and history gets shoved to when you do it anyway).
But, thinking a bit on it, for a company that got pissed at FB for "screwing up" privacy, it sure is surprising how everything FB allows you to hide G+ refuses to let you hide. ____________________ — dotUser |

Welp, remember when I said...
Originally posted by Kak64 I forgot the character limit doesn't exist anymore. You may accidentaly press "Show comment" and Woo Hoo, you got to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page. Now you can even put links in comments. There was one comment in fact which looked like spam, but once you click "Show more" it says: "This could have been spam or a link to a virus." Yeah...
I'm signing the petition RIGHT NOW. Youtube was fun when there were idiots in the comment section . It's not with pointless discussions nobody cares about. Where are all the comments which received many thumbs up now? Where's the fun now? ____________________ |

The only one I can think of is daily motion but Google really does have a monopoly on YT. There isn't much competition. If TCRF could embed/allow videos from daily motion, I think I would consider switching over and let my YT account rot/dissolve along with deleting my G+ account. Like I said, something else to manage that I don't want to manage. ____________________ "Consider this a privilege. You have been chosen." |

For the record, signing petitions does jack shit, if you want to affect it make it viral or something on twitter, etc and that will generate some bad PR; At least they care about that.
But then again, this is google so I doubt even THAT helps. :/ ____________________ I have nothing witty to put here! |

Originally posted by Kak64I think there is. I think I could embed videos into TCRF (although I haven't tried it). However, I don't know if the admins would like that or how they would feel about it. I don't want to go create an account if they don't want dailymotion videos on the site in the first place. I should ask and see what they say. Originally posted by LunariaThat's pretty spot on. I don't really feel petitions do anything either. Especially in this scenario. Google knows that YT is a monopoly since so many people use it compared to other video sites. Since most people are probably not going to leave YT regardless of changes made to the site, I doubt that Google will give a damn. If there was competition against YT then they might hear people out. ____________________ "Consider this a privilege. You have been chosen." |

I was on the beta boat for g+ and I really liked it strong privacy settings and a minimalist interface all it needed was people and it would have been great so I waited for the beta to end and checked back still not a lot of people forgot about it and checked back forever later like four people had made google+ accounts the youtube connection is like a push to fix g+'s people problem I get where they are coming from too, on one side is an empty and abandoned site and another is not profitable and yet full of people in the end the changes don't really seem all too surprising ____________________ |
