I've used both iOS and Android. Both are pretty great OSes and have their upsides and downsides, but I feel like Android caters to me better because it has more features and I can tweak it more, even if it's not as pretty and polished as iOS.
I had an iPhone 3GS from 2009 to 2012, which served me well, but it's a.. tiny bit out of date now. Still runs fairly well after a restore, but the battery life is awful. I also cracked the front glass one of the only times I dropped it and I never bothered getting it fixed- the phone is still usable and it's nowhere near as bad as some I've seen out there.
I upgraded to a Galaxy S3 (international version) in November 2012. I'm pretty happy with it, though I kind of wish I had gone for the Note 2 instead. Yesterday I installed Siyah Kernel which allows dual-booting and set up Rootbox as my alternate ROM, so I've been playing with mostly stock Android on it... it's very nice, and it feels much more polished than Samsung Android in many areas, but whether I keep on using it or not will depend on how well the camera works. Haven't got to try it out much yet. Also, wifi tethering is broken and I haven't managed to fix it yet :|
I also got a 32gb Nexus 7 a few months ago, which is pretty great- it's small enough that I can often carry it in my pocket, it has decent battery life (when not running IRC) and a really nice IPS screen. I'm currently running the PAC ROM on it. I also have a broken install of Ubuntu Desktop which got screwed up after I upgraded packages- it boots into X, but Unity/Compiz doesn't start properly so I can't do anything.
So, yep. Back to OSes... The only thing I really miss from iOS is the skeuomorphic UI, and that's going away in iOS 7, so...
I wouldn't be averse to switching back to iOS if I had to, but at the moment I'm definitely sticking with Android. There's a much better selection of devices - I find the iPhone too small and the iPad mini too big - and I don't have to depend on jailbreaks being available whenever I want to update.
edit: Also, iOS devices are ridiculously expensive in Europe. I have an interesting situation where I live in one country, and I get mobile service from another, so I can't get a subsidised phone on contract - I have to buy my phone unlocked, and use it with a prepaid plan. The Apple markup is so exorbitant that my GS3 and Nexus 7 together cost less than an iPhone 5. Crazy, right..?
