If you run into broke shit, please post.

I am trying to un-broke shit at oppertune times.

PS Wiki sysops can create accounts by going to Special Pages > Log in / Create Account and creating a new account (there's even an option to send a password email instead of making one the hard way). If you get a request from someone in IRC please try to do that for them because the recaptcha thing is currently Shit That's Broke and in the brief ten minutes I had it off we had about 3 spambots show up.

Just something I noticed: there's no favicon. Playing around in Fiddler2, and noticed it's trying to get favicon.ico which redirects to Favicon.ico which doesn't exist.

Already mentioned in IRC: links need to be clicked two or more times to activate them in iOS Safari. The first click brings the link into "focus," the next click actually activates it. Doesn't happen on my desktop so it's probably strictly a mobile issue...which sucks, because my phone is where I do the bulk of my editing and administrative work. Clicking tiny text links in a mobile browser is already a tedious affair and this just makes it a thousand times worse.

MultiUpload is MultiBroke Already reported.

Also, short sound clips seem to repeat the beginning, but I'm not sure if that's just on my mind. Test at http://tcrf.net/Forgotten_Worlds_%28Arcade%29#Item_Shop

Short sound clips work fine here. Have you tried a different browser?

Also the new audio player is sweet - it doesn't make Firefox gobble up more resources than normal. But it looks like we can't seek ahead / rewind long clips anymore.

Well, to be fair, money probably plays into it too.

Upload Wizard seems to add a bunch of unnecessary crap to uploaded file pages and not actually apply things like system tags as expected.

It goes like this randomly. But it does work again in about 30/60 seconds.

All that stuff is standard Wikimedia Foundation project fare, not relevant to any other wiki, but since the main target is Wikimedia stuff, why not! (This is a project-wide issue: I wanted to try using The Commonist, a desktop bulk uploader, once to upload about 70 or so files to TCRF, but my test run of one file on Sega Retro (I think) added all that crap AND some userspace bullshit.) That being said, since you have access to the wizard code, you could edit all that shit out...

The new .ogg player doesn't seem to be playing sound for me. (I'm using Safari 6.0.5 on Mac OS X 10.8.4.) It seems to be a browser issue, as oggs play perfectly in Firefox and Chrome (but oggs worked before TCRF updated).

Think that might be the cause?

To my knowledge, to use such a player with HTML5 you will need both MP3 and OGG files to play sound/music on all browsers since FF (and a few others?) can't play MP3 due to patients and some can't play OGG. It really is annoying and I found that out the hard way during making my sound effects system on a random web related project.

Oh, another broken thing: Looks like Game Boy items with multiple systems in the Bob make repeated system categories show up at the bottom. Examples:

http://tcrf.net/Pachi-Slot_Hisshou_Guide_GB - 3x Game Boy categories and 1x Game Boy Color category (there is no GBC category in the bob). The game doesn't show up in the Game Boy Color game list.
http://tcrf.net/Hamster_Paradise - 4x Game Boy categories and 2x Game Boy Color categories.

This doesn't seem to happen with other games, like http://tcrf.net/SpongeBob_SquarePants:_Battle_for_Bikini_Bottom

Yeah, Safari only supports patented formats, same with Explorer (though at least the latter can be "fixed" with plug-ins apparently). That's an obvious attempt to push everybody towards those, especially since both Microsoft and Apple have a stake on those patents. Something similar happens with video.

In neither case there's a single format supported by all browsers ._.' In the case of audio the W3C tried to set Vorbis as one of the codecs every browser had to support, but companies lobbied very hard to ensure no format was required at all ' (their argument was both that Vorbis probably has patents and that HTML never required support for any format - maybe it's time it starts doing so)

Is it just me? The site looks broken / unformatted using Firefox. I waited a few days to see if it would go away, but it still looks wrong.

It's not working at all now.

I haven't exactly waited 5 minutes though.
