My partner and I have been discussing this since the announcement and while she is super wholeheartedly behind it and thinks it's a 100% awesome business decision, on the other hand, I believe it's, as David Lynch would say,

It's hard for me to care about any system beyond the DS if even the DS. I don't know if it's because I'm getting old or the Cold War is ending or I've just simply come to crave the "authenticity" of single screens or what. But either way, I hate how this new 2DS is flat and looks something like a tablet. I mean, it basically is one, kinda. To humorously use a slippery slope fallacy, are we going to expect iPads as the next "revolutionary" Nintendo handheld gaming console?
Portability is super important to me when it comes to, um, portable electronics. That's why I champion the Micro and it's why I think the Game Boy Pocket is a way better system than the original Game Boy. I'm sure I can fit a 2DS in my purse, but I want things that'll fit in my skinny jean pockets, dammit.
