I have created a bob unused object catergory for objects which have functionality and not just graphics, but are not enemies.

I'm not sure if I have done it correctly or if people agree with it's creation so...

Does this specifically count for objects left over in a ROM whose graphics have since been removed (like one of the NES Megaman games: there's TSA leftover for old objects, or for Super Mario Bros. 3, where there's an object with unique tilemaps but unfinished behaviour;no graphics).

I would really appreciate it if you didn't do this in the future. We prefer to discuss things like this (usually in IRC) before we go implementing them, especially if they affect something as integral to the site as the bob.

Wasn't this sort of thing covered by "unused items" already?

It's not really specific though.
Unused items means stuff you can keep, as a powerup or in your inventory.

...Maybe "unused items" could just be renamed to "unused objects", to broaden it a little?

Maybe rename Unused Items to Unused Actors instead?

Honestly, renaming "unused items" to "unused objects" might be the best course of action, as "object" is generic enough to cover both moving and static game elements.

I dunno, "items" makes me think of things you'd find in your inventory, while "objects" makes me think of things you'd interact with the game world.

Generally, "item" is a generic object you can interact with and doesn't fit into any other category (generic objects you can't interact with are "scenery"), though of course in the end it's just a developer convention so there isn't any real hard meaning to the term.
