It's artwork of the fox-type character person thing I've used as my avatar online for the past... lots of years. Someone I know made tons of icons in the same style as commissions and I got one because it was neat.

I recently wrote about my avatar elsewhere. Here's the relevant part:
As for my avatar, I've recently gotten into the habit of using avatars which look conspicuously like Snifits, yet aren't. My current avatar is a self portrait of Akira Toriyama of Dragon Ball Z fame, and this particular image came from the cover flap of the Dragon Ball manga's 34th volume. The original image was a bit too grainy for my tastes, so through the magic of Photoshop, I was able to get a much smoother avatar at the cost of some detail. I've grown quite fond of it, but I'll probably move on once I discover another peculiarly Snifit-like thing to make an avatar out of.
I'm not a particularly huge Akira Toriyama fan, but it seemed quite fitting, and other people seem to like it. I'm sure I'll keep it around for a while longer. |

Over the last few years, I've had three main avatars (and a whole shitload of mood avatar/one offs.) The one I am currently using here at Jul is a NSMB take on my original Acmlmboard avatar. It's Ludwig Von Koopa with a Luigi hat.
Acmlm made the first version for me when he made a version of his avatar with Mario's hat. At that time I was just a plain Lugwig v. Koopa avatar. To make 'a matched set' and since he knew I was a Luigi fan.. he just stuck a a Luigi cap on his head.
