| Sonic Adventure 2 has a bunch of common text strings in the MHSYSx.PRS files, where x is a letter code for text language (Japanese, English and FIGS). They contain the text for interacting with ancient ruins and level-up items, but they also contain a lot of unused text that's not translated from Japanese in any of the files.
Through my limited ability to read katakana, these appear to be subtitles for Omochao's standard lines when you pick him up and throw him around, etc, given his tendency of finishing almost every sentence with チャオ (chao). Those lines don't use subtitles in the final game, so at least the text itself is unused. | RahanAkero: Thanks! Yeah, seems like a lot of it is unused. As far as I know nothing from complaining about being interrupted to forgetting all the hints is present in the final dialogue. I can imagine how a lot of those expressions would've had trouble making the jump overseas. Talk about culture shock!
