Circa 2008, I kept a decent diary and generally didn't have gaps longer than a month. I used a shareware Windows software for it, though, and it had to go. Now I'm only left with a few scattered entries here and there and I write in it extremely infrequently. Writing in my diary is no longer a ritual; it's no longer something I value and do every day. It's mundane and boring, and I feel like I have very little to write, even though that's not true and I know it's always interesting to read past entries. Thus, I'd like to get into the habit again. My diary also happens to double as a dream journal, but over the course of the past two years my dreams have lost their vividness and I barely remember anything when I wake up. It's so sad. A physical diary is not an option for me because I always want it to be available in a virtual form. I'm also paranoid and can't just have something like that lying around. Have you ever kept a diary? In which form? What makes you keep going? Or am I the only person who still tries in this day and age? I demand more knowledge. ____________________ |
