| I've been playing a few things lately. I've been super-sick so a lot of bed and videogame rest has been had.
-Lego Batman - My girlfriend and I are just cleaning up. We're at about 90% completion...just a few minikits and unlockables to find and we've beaten it! 
-The Pinball Arcade - I've been put onto this as a good simulator of actual pinball tables. Kinda splurged on a few of the DLC packs and yeah. Lots of Pinball! Arabian Nights is a jerk! (So is Taxi). -Modnation Racers - The single player of this is making me swear like 50 cent on a bad day. So much fun though. Working on making a good track, too. -Ratchet and Clank Trilogy HD - Playing through the first game. The game improved in the sequels a lot. Also see previous comment about swearing and triple it. -Pokemon White 2 - Beaten the Elite 4, now doing post game stuff and catching those buggers. -Scribblenauts Unlimited - It's scribblenauts, but I can type using a keyboard! What's NOT to like? |

Sometimes I like to think of myself as someone who "doesn't game" but the reality is we are perpetually gaming. In true "noughties" fashion, our gaming is about enjoying the bad, the obscure and the old, quite frequently all at once.
Lately, when I haven't been spending late nights with Nicole ridiculing SMW hacks, though, I've been amusing myself by replaying Super Mario Sunshine and I've been going through lists of Game Boy games to scope out the weirdest games I can find. The Game Boy was a platform for crappy platformers and you have a lot of really strange simple games like Barbie: Game Girl which feature a lot of enemies that don't make sense but probably get an "explanation" in the manual. It's pretty sweet and with my friend getting me a limited edition Emerald Game Boy Pocket this Christmas, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be playing a lot of these. ____________________ |

| So in Pokemon White 2, my level 52 Starmie soloed the level 55 White Kyurem. He also crushed half of the Elite 4 and Champion's pokemon on his own, though by then he was at a slightly higher level.
There's a lesson to take from this: You're not Red Squadron, don't fuck with the Death Starmie. Keep in mind this is gonna get a bit long; I'm gonna put a line at the end in green so you know when to stop scrolling past my rambling 
Team: Cyan/Altaria-M @Silk Scarf Cloud Nine (negate weather) Fly/Dragon Pulse/Dragon Dance/Return Didn't do much against the Elite 4 beyond die and stall for time. Disappointing, really, but he was underlevelled and missing half his moveset. Should have Dragon Claw and something less shitty than Fly. Zeppla/Drifblim-F @Chesto Berry Unburden (+Speed when held item used) Rest/Shadow Ball/Thunderbolt/... I forget. Fourth move should be Calm Mind, but I couldn't get the TM before the Elite 4. Nazca/Sigilyph-M @Scope Lens Tinted Lens (I know Magic Guard's more useful, but Nazca was part of my team from the beginning via Dream Radar, and doing well enough that it just didn't feel right to switch) Air Slash/Psychic/Signal Beam/Ice Beam Instrumental to my victory. All of my victories. Ridiculous type coverage and enough power not to need boosts. Scope Lens dates back to an earlier time in his moveset when he had something with a boosted crit rate. Intending to switch that for a Life Orb. King/Serperior-M @Miracle Seed Overgrow Leaf Blade/Leech Seed/Dragon Tail/Coil Got tired of healing at the Plasma Frigate. Spammed Coil until Leech Seed's healing was outdoing enemy damage and steamrolled. He's good at that. Sienar/Starmie @Mystic Water Analytic (+30% damage when attacking last) Recover/Surf/Thunderbolt/Ice Beam Classic moveset. Analytic is a poor choice with his speed, but a nasty surprise when it does trigger. Wasn't worth hunting one with Natural Cure, anyway. Hopper/Galvantula-M @Rocky Helmet Compoundeyes (Boosted Accuracy) Thunder/Signal Beam/Thunder Wave/Giga Drain Awesome little bug. 91% accuracy on Thunder? Fuck yes. Game-long MVPs? Nazca, Hopper, Sienar, in order. I didn't get Sienar until pretty late, or he'd probably rank higher. Zeppla was much more useful in the early game, but her offensive power started to fall off later on; I expect this to reverse when she gets Calm Mind. King went the opposite; his early-game power was pretty bad, but that picked up significantly with Leaf Blade and Coil. Cyan was an unbelievable tank as a Swablu with Eviolite; nothing dropped that little cotton bird. Not even electricity. | I found a very hidden 1up balloon in Radical highway while playing SA2B. | Finally got the last elusive S-rank in Sonic Generations by cutting a full minute off my Planet Wisp Act 2 time.
