Aux says:

So Gabu and I saw the RiffTrax Live for Birdemic: Shock And Terror last night.

It was fucking hilarious, to the extent that the riffing (while funny as hell) was nearly superfluous. It was just so shitty that it transcended the boundaries of good and bad. To give you some idea of how bad it is, even Wikipedia seems a bit unsure of what the plot was supposed to be.

So in honor of masterpieces like Birdemic, I felt the need to create a thread for discussing various media that could be considered to be so bad it's good.

(Bonus points if you can find a movie more hilariously bad than Birdemic. This is my challenge for you, dear Julers.)

Movies so bad they are good? I'm in a facebook group dedicated to talking about this very subject!

Though, I'll admit, I have never watched most of them. (For obvious reasons)
Not sure if this is legit or not but: Link (Not embedded for NSFW, and such, reasons)
There is also this gem: Link.

I could go on, but as I am not too fond of watching movies at all, and therefore have no reaction, I don't really have much of an impression to share. :V

Does Robogeisha count? (also NSFW) That link reminded me of it. (Though I wish I hadn't seen it. )

I still want to see Birdemic. My brother has.

Well, they were both made by the same guy.

When it comes to directors of "so bad it's good" movies, though, I prefer the classic example.

Oh, how could I forget? My dad got the special commentary edition of Plan 9 and we had fun with that.

I still love how the dudes portray kids in films. Then again I'm a sucker for dark comedy and children happen to be the perfect combination for that.

Also solar panels.

And before I forget it, let us mention all the (trailers of) mind-blowing low-budget action flicks from Uganda and Ghana. Words cannot prepare you all for the excremently ridiculous stunts, CGI special effects, breakneck pacing, nonsensical events and narrators (and in the case of the Ghanaian films, devil-may-care attitude towards copyrights), which shall be remembered for years:

Who Killed Captain Alex
Tebaatusasula
Rescue Team
The Return of Uncle Benon
2016
12:00 (Guest starring the guy from Crysis.)
Nkrato
The Godfather (...which has apparently jack squat to do with the real Godfather)
Obonsam Besu: Devil May Cry (...which is less juvenile than that "**** YOU!" times three scene in DmC: Devil May Cry.)
Oman Kumfo, Terminator: Atrimoden (yes, that Terminator), Ewiemu Atumfo and Anase Da Spider-Man

Pretty late, but you'll probably enjoy this "so bad it's good" podcast discussing Birdemic. It features the actress who played the lead woman in the film. She's pretty insightful and endearing.

I swear I posted in this topic for some reason.

I used to think anyone who was claiming Birdemic was the worst movie ever was full of hot air but then I watched it and I was like “holy crap!” and then I watched it like six more times. It never gets old.

If you enjoy stuff like this, I totally recommend that you check out The Asylum, this one film studio/distributor company that focuses on direct-to-DVD and low-budget films, usually mockbusters. They are hilarious!

I just watched American Ninja. It's been a while since I last watched it, so I completely forgot how bad it is, but it is so good!

The first Alien vs. Predator movie.
*may actually not hide into the bed

I'd also say Ricky 1... but that's another story. It's your average bad parody of Rocky... what would you expect from it?

Oh, they did Sharknado!

Sharknado was...it was okay as far as terrible movies go, but it wasn't quite terrible enough to be as hilarious as I'd hoped it would be. Like, there's a really fine line between So Bad It's Good and Just Plain Bad, and this one kinda straddled it, IMO. Which is a shame, since I'd been pretty pumped for it.

Um Um Um...

this is why I think to be wierd... I have very lightly enjoyed that movie.

I mean, very lightly is still to much... maybe

Anyway, there are much "better" movies from The Asylum.
