Please note that i have completely lost the file structure of the file so i'm not sure exactly where they came from. This post will also be long.
First of all, the boring stuff.
 
   
As you can guess these all point to the online capabilities that were never implemented, most of you already know this and thats why its a boring find.
Next are crappy temporary theme pictures, while the main cast use parts of their artwork Maria, Omochao and the secretary use a badly cutout 3d picture of themselves. Examples:
 
Here is leftovers for a demo message:
Note that this was made out of seperate files.
The game also has the level select with only 2 levels probably used in the demo release:
 
Note that the levels also have a grayed out image for when they are not currently selected.
As you can expect from a demo i found an preview icon and 'now available' message:

Update: these are the character select icons from the dreamcast version, before you say the tree and pumpkin is fake there is indeed dlc for christmas and halloween multiplayer costumes.
 
Did you know i haven't even started looking at the 3d models yet and i think there was 1 or 2 leftover/unused music files as well.

Those are some interesting finds there. It's possible there's another demo release we haven't found yet, as I've never seen those icons for Green Forest and City Escape before. Same with those "Coming Soon" and "Now Available" screens.
The last picture has icons which I think are used for those alternate unlockable costumes. It's been a while since I've played the game, so I wouldn't know for sure. I think SA2 also had DLC available, but it's hard to find a save file with that today, though. |

Sonic adventure 2 did have DLC but the gamecube version does not. Its likely they are just leftovers.

PJSaltThe second set of character icons are definitely Dreamcast leftovers. They were all used there.
The first set of icons I think they weren't even in the Dreamcast version though, because of the robot.
I'm not sure if any of the online things are Dreamcast leftovers either... It's not like that can be checked anymore though.

There's a couple of save archive disc images out there, I'm pretty sure I saw the DLC packs in them.
I tried burning one last night but my software can't handle the disc image formats. :|

I've had a look and it is true that the second set of character select icons are dreamcast leftovers. The first one is the characters you would start with (with edited character icons, look at rouge). The second set is the characterss you can unlock , the christmas tree and halloween pumpkin refer to dlc costume sets you could get for the characters.

The first group are alternate costumes too, that IIRC are unlocked by clearing every mission of that character.
it's hard to find a save file with that today, though.
Most of the DLC is actually in-game and simply locked. I think only Chao Garden things are truly DLC.

I just found 3 vids of explosions, whether they are tests or effects i have no idea (probably effects). Theres also a vid that must be from the dreamcast game of shadow at radical highway but it claims to be footage for 'DreamNews'.
Also, heres some random trivia for you: The other text on the monitor saying project shadow is just a jumble of random letter patterns over and over again. Theres also random letters flying past incredibly fast in the 'Eggman sattelite videos. Weird.
