It seems as though as the donation wasn't made through a donation clinic, rather as a friend through unofficial means. He isn't protected through the law as it stands. The only assurance he was given was a promise, and that it's been revoked. Ugh.

Wait a minute... I have an absolutely evil idea. If he's considered responsible enough for the child to pay child support, why doesn't he try to get custody of the child for his own family? I mean, if you're gonna stamp them with that, then they can just turn around and claim they'd rather help raise the child directly than pay child support. What're they gonna say? "No!
