I haven't been able to get it, though I really do want to get it some time.

Meanwhile, I've been playing Sim City 4 again, building up my region into a massive megatropolis.

Played Blacklight Retribution while out of town last night after the Evacuation update.

The new Evacuation map is very choppy at this time and the game even capped at 91 C even in Windows 7's Power Saver with the cooling fans (all graphics settings is as low as possible and other maps run better than Evac). Time to get some thermal compounds to fix this up right away since livestreams/desktop recordings also caused higher temps.

Plus the graphics settings reset to default without my knowledge or consent when I started the client today.

This is about the third time I have seen this particular dating sim, and not once have I played it.

-----

Up next on my Final Fantasy PSX tour is Final Fantasy IX. I'm on Disc 2 currently, and I'm kind of unimpressed. How do they go from the masterpiece that was VIII, and end up making... whatever the hell this is?

With Final Fantasy VIII, I found that I could at least try to connect with the characters. Some I found grating, but the majority of them were just fantastic. In IX though... I couldn't hate the main character, Zidane, more. Princess Garnet is thoroughly uninteresting... and well... rat girl. I honestly forgot her name, but I don't particularly care for her either.

I'm sure it'll pick up in Disc 3, and culminate beautifully at the end of Disc 4... but right now, the game isn't all that great, and I'm kind of glad that I put this on hold for so long. I can't believe I actually liked X more than I liked VII, and more than I'm liking IX. I suddenly have a new appreciation for that game.

Internet's been out for the past few days, so I've been sinking some time into L.A. Noire. I don't know why I stopped playing it; it's a fantastic game.

Also, Mega Man I on the 3DS is out. Grabbing that!

EDIT: So THAT'S why I never bothered to finish Mega Man I. It's pretty crappy compared to the other 9 classic games.

Played and beaten it. Compared to the first games, there is a lot more to do, both before and after the Elite 4. However, while I thought the little Movie minigame was interesting and fun, it was rather shallow and unrewarding except for early game, where you could rack up Lemonades without spending a dime. The story was pretty good, though it didn't have the twist at the end like Black and White.

The metagame in B/W2 is easily my favourite so far. There are more TM's and move tutor moves in this game than any of the others, and my biggest gripe about B/W was addressed in the sequel -- the battle trains are far more rewarding, issuing 3bp per train defeated rather than only one, so grinding for the EV items and Swords Dance aren't nearly as agitating.

I haven't played around in White Forest yet, but Black City had a major overhaul. Instead of only getting a handful of trainers to battle which slowly increases every day that you play in succession, you get a battle tower where you receive exp and money, so going through the Elite 4 isn't the only way to make a decent chunk of cash anymore. You have full access to this tower immediately upon arrival, except that you unlock each successive floor by completing the previous.

I also like the inclusion of Union Avenue -- you can have people that you have passed by via the wireless communications and people with whom you have traded or battled over the internet join your Avenue to set up shops. The item shop is a particular favourite of mine, as, after leveling it a bit, you are able to buy stacks of 12 of the stat-increasing items for cheaper than you would in any other shop, as well as Ethers.

I would have to say that this is my second favourite Pokemon game, right behind HeartGold/SoulSilver. The fact that your lead Pokemon following you was taken out still bugs me.

As for what I've been playing lately, though? Harvest Moon: A New Life. They took a few steps back in this game but they were steps that the franchise desperately needed.

I've picked up Iji again and I'm just trundling through it at my own pace, trying to get as many things as I can.

Currently at Sector 8 and I'm doubting getting Immortal/Nanomaster rank'll be a thing that's going to happen this run as I haven't really made an effort to go cracking-crazy/be careful. I mean I've tried to be more careful than usual and try to mainly reflect stuff instead of run headfirst into explosives, but sometimes it just. Kinda doesn't work out that well. '-'

Been playing Roller Coaster Tycoon again and filming the footage involved for a future LP. Of course my computer crashed last night and all the footage I took for that level went with it.

So I guess I'll say I beat FFTA

Suddenly fighting Li-Grim was scary because I used up the almighty card on the battle before and was out of JP of all characters, but it ended up being a rather underwhelming battle and she changed the laws to ones that didn't restrict me instead of the ones I entered the fight in.

Now I'd do the rest of missions (I am at 265), but because half of my clan is at level 5 the ones that take the average level of your clan are hilariously underleveled, and I don't want to recruit say, a level 18 Babus.

That, and the ones that give me the quest items I need (Mostly alloys and minerals, of which I had to get rid of because I ran out of space) aren't showing up.

I played through the first three episodes of the Walking Dead game this past weekend.

If you haven't played it, go do so, and if you aren't interested, go play it anyways.

I wasn't expecting anything like this, but it's seriously one of the greatest storytelling experiences I've ever had in a video game.

Just.. go play it. Wait for a sale, pirate it, doesn't matter.

Surprisingly enough, I haven't gotten Pokémon Black 2 yet.

One and the main reason being that I have pretty limited chances I can buy games... but even more surprisingly, I haven't "completed" Pokémon Black either!
Completing, to me, meaning to at least do every single subplot of the game. The subway and other silly things aren't important, more like extra challenges.
I still have to rematch the League and catch Kyurem.

I bought Sonic Generations on PC when it was on sale and I can't get it to work right on my laptop. Not detecting my Nvidia card, forcing it to instead use the integrated Intel, and I can't run it at an acceptable speed even on 800x600. Tried at least three solutions I found on the Steam forums, none of which fixed it. I exceed even the recommended specs, but it doesn't like my specific hardware.

Fuckdammit, Sega.

I've also been playing Minecraft again (which is entirely Sukasa's fault), as well as occasional Doom.
