What I find odd, is that the store itself, just by the name, doesn't sound all that spectacular, why would they, of all people, waste so much time on an annoying sign? Another thing I find odd is that somehow, the majority of people in the ads/signs/other business attraction things industry seem to have absolutely no idea what attracts people and what doesn't.

Not only it has nothing to do with the store itself... it's like someone played some "acid sm64" with one of those random hacks in fast foward or something with a bouncing rotating gif of electric soldier porygon around the screen, and for some reason decided to make a banner of that.

But if they wanted to bring some attention... sure they did, but it's more to the fffffffffffff rather than to even the text itself...

Yeah, we're pretty sure most (all?) of the animations are ripped straight from Google Image Search and tweaked to fit the sign. There's probably even more copyrighted stuff in the animations that appear inside the letters, though it's kinda hard to tell. There's certainly a lot of stuff that's inappropriate for their business, i.e. "I love you" with a box of chocolates, musical notes, fish, "LOVE" balloons, Pikachu...

Something interesting to note is that many of the animations seem to be designed for an even wider sign; the one in the video can only show 3/4 of them. See: the Disney Dollar, Pikachu (which might even be designed for a sign 1/3 smaller, since it repeats), anything that says "LOVE", the blue pinwheel, the diagonal spectrum wipe, etc. It could be that the company just creates custom signs based on a business's needs, as I've seen an identical sign only half as high for a self-storage company (imagine "FREE LOCK!" in red, vibrating letters). The fun thing about that one is that one side is totally glitched, showing either random scrambled colors or a smattering of disppearing/flashing pixels whenever text scrolls by.

(I can't believe I'm analyzing a friggin' SIGN in-depth...)
