"For safety's sake, a child and an adult shouldn't be alone in a closed room together,"
Yeah, there's no reason this should ever happen. Ever.

I don't know why I put this here.
Perhaps it would be better if they left this to parents--less likely to look as weird and ridiculous as this does, heh.

To be honest, I think the suggestiveness was unintentional. Kinda like how children's cartoons tend to be full of sexual innuendo and suggestive material, yet since they're kids, they don't know any better.

Seriously, remember Rocko's Modern Life?

I think a better word to use would've been "stranger" or otherwise unknown person. "Adult" is too generalized, but I can see what they meant. (Would you leave your kid with some whackjob you don't know?)

Stranger, creep. Either work.

Yes I did. It could still be a misinterpretation. What if the priest is the one who called the angel? Or if the priest is there being happy that an angel is giving a kid advice or something? It's kinda hard to tell since they don't have a picture of image in question.

And another question, why would Catholics warn kids to stay away from priests? Or why would they suggest that their priests are pedophiles? It's pretty un-Catholic for a Catholic product to say negative things about being Catholic (in this case "our priests are pedophiles!").

Also, I'm not Catholic.

Perhaps they were not suggesting to stay away from all of the priests, but just to be careful that your not in a room alone without an adault. Even still, why would it be in a coloring book format?

Churches do very strange things...

VERY strange things...

I mean seriously, you tell a kid not to do something, and what happens? They end up doing it. Kids are curious, and im pretty sure this ISNT the way you tell a kid NOT to do something.

I have a simple solution, dont make a kid go to a catholic Church till hes like 14-15 or something. I dunno

My wonder is...these coloring books are slated for ages what...4-8?

At that age, how are you supposed to tell a boy that the peener doesn't go in the hole? Why are you even...I mean I didn't even think about that stuff until I was about 16 or so and even then that was considered late by a lot of people's standards...and these days you have to make sure that the little kids know this stuff more than 'stay away from strangers'. I mean that was good enough for me.

Then again there are 11-year-olds having kids...I mean the Guiness record is 5 from some Indian girl...maybe this is necessary? I just don't really know what's sensical and what's not these days when shit like this gets done and you somehow wonder if people are really so dumb that they need a coloring book to emphasize the fact that situations such as those depicted are wrong.

I mean I would leave them up to the parents to do this...but anymore the parents are my age group and many of them want the government to take care of their kids and it's this crap that ends up screwing up the kid moreso than they would have by just...you know...doing their parenting job.
