Ultimately, if the Millennial generation pushes our society toward more sharing and closer living, it may do more than simply change America’s consumption culture; it may put America on firmer economic footing for decades to come.
Sick nasty burn. Makes me sad to be part of this generation, doing things like "making the future better" and "improving productivity" and "making a more stable economy" and "focusing on things like ideas instead of the crass consumerism that's been destroying our planet". |

| | Metal_Man88's Post | The issue is past generations built on logic from even earlier generations that the Earth was indestructible and what they had been doing since the Industrial Revolution had no real side effects whatsoever.
For example, go to the turn of the century, say 1900s, people would just laugh you off if you mentioned "Those coal burners endangering the very planet we live on."
Humans are a very slow to evolve species mentally, so it's no surprise they have been really late to the party with current issues.
