Sorry if this has been brought up, but I can't find the search function on the wiki. I have 2 copies of the famicom final fantasy 2 cart. I haven't tested them since I bought them years ago. I was planning on selling them so I decided to test them both out. The thing is every time I went to the battle screen, the game froze. When this happened to the first one I cleaned it over and over and reseated it about 30 times and every time the same thing, but then the 2nd cart did exactly the same thing.

The kicker is I was using a famicom/clone called the "cool boy". It's a famicom hand held that uses a adapter cart to run famicom games. I was just wondering if FF2 had some copy protection software or routine, or both of my carts are busted in excatly the same way. Thanks

It's probably not compatible. Use a real Famicom, or get an adapter and use a NES.
