I got my financial aid award from Georgetown bumped up by $2000 to pay for health insurance! 
So not only am I going to school practically for free but I'm also getting free health insurance  Such good luck  |

I had tons of fun out there! I was out on a "camping" trip (for the lack of a better term. Most of it was spent in a roomy cottage) and we did a lot of stuff including cooking and cleaning dishes! Wait, that's not notable. We mostly played DS/GB/PC games and held a few tournaments (including one in Mario Kart with 15 people!), but we also did other fun stuff like walking ~25km to a restaurant (traditionally) and going to a sweet (but cold) cave for a geocache. Speaking of, anybody here does geocaching? Anyway, I can say I've never seen so many people likeminded with me in one place before. It was really nice. ____________________ |

Aux says:Every time I've walked over the past day or two, my left heel would have this nasty stinging pain, and tonight I decided to actually figure out what was causing it.I saw a small pinprick, but the pain was coming from a tiny bit away from the pinprick, and there was a tiny little lump where the pain was, so I did the obvious thing and took a (clean) safety pin and dug into it to find out what had gotten embedded in there. It was a tiny shard of broken fucking glass. I actually do know how it got there, for the record. I broke a glass French press the other day in my apartment (it was, of course, a total accident--I was reaching for something in a cupboard and I knocked the French press off the counter with my elbow in the process, shattering it), and while I thought I'd managed to clean up all the glass, I guess a few really tiny bits didn't get swept up. Either way, I cleaned the wound and it's not hurting now, so all's well that ends well. But that's the story of how I performed impromptu minor surgery on my foot with a safety pin.
