Staring into space
I wonder what's really my face
Is it that thing I see in the mirror
Or that image pasted up on the monitor

There is no real self
In this empty shell
The church cannot ring a bell
The soulless have no hell

There is nothing here to see
A man without connections
Empty threads tossed about in reflection

A life of loneliness and anger
The key buttons pressed in terror
There is nothing but one big error


The years thrown away in haste
An endless waste
Others live ten lives in this person's one

Life torn asunder by a phantom gun
The night's imaginary danger
Destroying all potential fun

Hateful thoughts by limited people
Tearing one's soul across with a steeple
Never thought they'd choose to kick the feeble
But that's what happens when you've gone evil

Movies to an undecent mind
Destroyed nine thousand times
There is no freedom in the world
That does not allow the human condition to freely twirl

Here rests the wasted tomes
Written on sandy loam
Out where the wind blows
An anonymous poet tolls

Impermanent fixture
Work torn scripture
The pieces that bind
Are really not fine
All is a hole
Filled with empty goals
Throwing away the self
For nothing else

Fingers of a diseased mind
Flitter across time
Nothing on their mind
But the device that is their end

I hate the holes
that burn where there should be a soul
Pieces torn from me
Scattered across the shoals
There is no relief for the ever-burning coals
