Your Alt key is probably getting stuck somehow. I had a similar issue with Ctrl on my laptop because of the touchpad. Anything similar possible there?

Not sure, it may be my ancient IBM Model M style keyboard not being interpreted correctly by TF2. It doesn't happen anywhere else.

One thing I like about the mode is that practically anything can become a potential murder machine. I did a almost full-melee scout with mad milk, full extra speed and lots of resistances. I was overhealed for 700 and nothing could barely touch me, and even if they did, it barely did damage. ____________________

I used Death By Kukri if I join with the same group of people. Otherwise, random Valve servers and the Furry Pound (low ping and stock maps). Sometimes skial and Lotus servers.

I can never connect to Valve servers, or the ping is abnormally high.

And those other servers you mentioned... the last time I was there, it was not a pleasant experience. :|

or the No Heros 32 Person Custom Payload

or I just use auto join to find a king of the hill map
(and the other game modes depending)

but I haven't played much lately and I don't have a mic

So if you have a Mann Up Voucher and join a tour you completed, you won't get any item for completing it unless you are doing the entire tour again and your voucher won't be redeemed. HOWEVER, if there are Surplus Vouchers used, you get items, even if you don't add one yourself.

That's how I got my new Spy hat. :3 Joined wave 6 out of 8 and helped them complete it.

Did another MvM round except a friend invited me to his group and they all had Surplus Vouchers (and I was traded one to use as well). Ended up completing the mission within a reasonable time and I got the Demoman batteries and the Robot Running Man. Traded the batteries with my friend for the U-Clanka instead.

I still have two missions to complete before my tour is completed though.

I only just beat a mission for once the other night. I can't imagine what harder missions are like.

Then again, it's odd. All of the most recent times we've looked for a game, we've chosen the standard difficulty missions, but the server we end up on always has a different mission (and often even different maps).

If you are doing Mann Up, I don't think the mission difficulties change. In fact, you can play those missions on a normal server and change the difficulty to Normal or even Ironman. In Mann Up, they stay Advanced (the middleground).

I never have seen Ironman. I don't know if I want to.

I think it was described as "medium" difficulty. And after checking the Wiki, it was indeed the Advanced course. Other maps have two 'advanced' courses but Mannworks only has one. In turn, it has an "endurance" mission that be glad you don't go there for brunch (wiki states, "between 10-20 minutes per wave").

Easiest mission to complete is Data Demolition on Decoy. None of the waves have Uber Medics, and one wave consists of just two deflector Heavies with a few Quick-Fix Medics on them. Get a Scout with a Mad Milk fully upgraded ASAP and a Fan-o-War and you got yourself a pretty secure victory.

Did it once today for my second tour (my first tour netted me an awesome Strange Botkiller Rocket Launcher), then did it again later on with other people who had surplus vouchers. Ended up getting a random weapon the first time, then I got the Bolted Bushman. The rest of the team in that one got two random items and I got only the hat. ABUSING GAME MECHANICS? HELL YEAH

Also the Mannworks endurance mission isn't so bad (it is about 10 minutes per wave really) but it tests you in different ways compared to the other missions. You have to constantly find ammo, re-position yourselves multiple times, watch out for a variety of robots instead of a set group (which makes buying resistances harder than usual to plan out), and the bomb actually resets to the start if it isn't picked up for a while.
