The new mode is free, but if you want to get a random reward, you have to play in official Valve servers. And pay a dollar per spin.

You can play for free on other servers. But Valve's have an admission fee.

Also, a few achievements cannot be obtained unless you pay for a ticket and play in Valve's servers.

This is a good way to get F2P players to pay for the game.

It also is a good way to promote spending $2 over $1 since everyone in the team gets a drop. Get 6 people with the group vouchers and POW 6 item drops on completion.

Even better, they are not used if you fail or disconnect. THAT IS GOOD

EDIT: Also the Pomson got nerfed EYS

There are 48 Mann Co. servers up. For the entire world.

Also, Valve's servers are godawful. Horrible. HORRIBLE. I live in Mexico and my ping's always 130+.

Everything is getting slammed. From what I've read, looks like the update servers are all but offline, as are the update servers for server operators, the matchmaking service is toast, and the item servers aren't responding either. Then again, this happens every time Valve releases a large update for TF2. ____________________

Not only that, but there's also quite a bit of updating going on with their Community features. Nobody's paid much attention to that, but they chose the wrong time to release such a huge game update AND such a huge community overhaul.

Then again, it's Valve we're talking about.

The Community update has not even gone live yet, not even in the beta client. It is all web-based anyway, so it should have no bearing on TF2's item servers and such.

A lot of Valve's servers switched to MvM and getting into a casual game takes ages. Getting into a Mann Up match takes much shorter time.

This mode is brutal. Absolutely brutal. Also, absolutely fun. This is probably the best update to TF2 I've seen. Before you join up, use 4 scrap to create a canteen. It could prove useful.
