Here's the build I use. Apparently it's unconventional, but holy crap I'm satisfied with it.

Yeah a lack of smokescreen makes it unconventional right off the bat I think lol. Bloodstar and I hit lvl 60 on our Monk & Wizard team. Played up to near the Butcher on Act I Inferno and then decided to make new characters lol.

My friend is comfortable on almost all the content as his DH and he has never used Smoke Screen. Here's his build:

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/demon-hunter#bPdYTl!abe!ZYbbZc

He plays a reasonably tanky DH with around 1,000 LoH and 36.5K DPS.

Well at least he has Vault. That counts for something lol

I prefer the glass cannon types myself.

What are his resists and armor like?

You need some more critical hit damage. Especially on your weapon. With sharpshooter, it makes a huge difference in your damage. My damage is actually 125k in game, the profile page doesn't take Steady Aim into account. Somewhere around 38k without Sharpshooter, I haven't checked in a little while.

Here's my Demon Hunter that became my main character. I started out playing a Witch Doctor at launch but by Inferno I came to realize how inferior they are to Demon Hunters as a ranged class. My wife and I just downed Inferno Diablo on our first attempt of the night, my DH and her Monk. She has a little over 900 Resist All with her Mantra. We had tried over the weekend a few times but didn't quite get him down. I swapped out caltrops from my build and put in Rain of Vengeance - Flying Strike instead. It's a 30 second cool down that stuns the targeted area and it works on Diablo. Made it 10x easier since I could use it to interrupt the cage summoning sequence every time he started to pop them up from the ground.

I also have a moderately geared Monk that I wanted to get to 60. I use my Andariel's Visage on him since it has Poison Resist which gets converted to resist all. I just don't have the funds right now to fully deck him out to take on Act II Inferno and beyond.

Hey guys... 100 MOAR LEVELS!

The current debate is whether or not the data-mined info in the chart below is accumulative or amount per level:

If it's the experience per level, that means it'll take over 10 billion experience to get to Paragon level 100. In other words, more than a year for the average player. My guess is still that these numbers are cumulative and will take 1-2 weeks of solid grinding, or about a month and a half for an average player.

I like how 1.0.4 is basically bringing back all the cut singleplayer features of Diablo 2 in an attempt to make the game worthwhile.

Edit: They've put the patch notes up

The patch was released on what is now yesterday. They've made an insane amount of changes, all of which I think I can go along with without argument. Which I'm sure those of you who looked at the patch notes already know. I think Witch Doctor might actually be worth using now.

I started one today and I think I might be playing this game off and on again.

I actually started as a WD and switched to a DH once I got to Inferno and realized how useless pets were. Now that they're viable in Inferno, I switched back last night. I was very impressed with the upgrades they received. My pets were tanking Act 2 just fine, only dying to melee hazards like molten and plagued. I had to spend a pretty penny to gear out my WD with magic find items, but I managed to get back to 246% MF and retain 40,860 damage. Pretty much full glass cannon, but that's what the pets are for.

Found a really good 1h spear that I sold on the RMAH for $60. I was pretty excited when I woke to see the email that it had sold. It was probably a little under priced, but not so much that they could turn around and make big profit from it. Some idiot had a similar one listed for $250 but on the gold AH, one just lower than mine was only 25 million. Gold is about $1 per million now, so I figured $60 was high but I guess not.

Going to use the money to pay for Mist of Pandaria Digital Deluxe version. I sold a ring 2 weeks ago for $8 so I only need $12 more.

So with Paragon levels you get MF without the need for MF gear. Sure wish I hadn't spent a million gold on MF gear now

I fear all MF gear is now kinda worthless and will be a non seller in the AH. Sure wish I hadn't horded all that MF gear

A legendary ring that you can get can now proc a treasure goblin on hit. Sure wish I hadn't killed myself trying to get to all those elusive treasure goblins that keep running away resulting in many deaths and huge repair bills

Is that the way this works?

No? MF gear is still going to be useful for a while because no one is at the paragon level cap, and most people won't ever come close.

Magic find gear is still very relevant. It's only 3% per level and it takes quite a while to get to 100. I play pretty regularly and I'm only level 5. My wife plays a lot more than I do and she's only level 10. Most public games, you still see most people level 15 or less. There are some people farming pretty much non-stop and are really high level, as you can see here. The highest I've seen in game was 27.

That legendary ring is pretty rare and the proc doesn't happen very often. It procs from when you're hit, not from hitting things. So if you play a glass cannon ranged class, it'd barely proc at all.

Puzzle Ring goblins are also act 1, no matter which act you find them in. This means that act 3 goblins are still more valuable.
