Because that post is pretty much completely missing the point of this thread.

Before you post again, I would highly recommend looking at the first few posts, and perhaps read the entire thread before you contribute to ANY thread again.

Seconding the bold text, though I think reading the entire thread for a while would be a better option, no matter how long it takes.

Now, steering things back on topic, I could probably post up more videos too upon request. Any ideas on what games I could do interestingly? Keep in mind though that if there's randomness in it, I wouldn't mind someone helping me out trying to manipulate it, such as perhaps in the Jeopardy games trying to manipulate the Daily Doubles to be at the $100 level, or trying to fix it so in Wheel of Fortune where the computer screws up and brings the turn back to me in subsequent rounds after the first.

A TAS where you try to keep the maximum displayed score, so you intentionally fail the longer questions answering ""/"a" (whenever it speeds up that question based on how the opponents will react) and answer the shorter ones correctly.

Also I've been thinking doing Kirby's Adventure Boss Runs cheating in the different abilities. (Basically single ability runs).
On a TAS it involves a very interesting problem where Metaknight can only be damaged when the "ability value" is set to Sword, so to make it a true single ability run I would have to frame-by-frame manipulate this right as Kirby is attacking (when using a common ability, that is)

Technically he wouldn't need to answer those questions wrong. He'd just have to wager low amounts for the Daily Doubles, then just enough at Final Jeopardy to hit the max score.

Actually, saving the daily doubles for last in the $100 (and $200 categories in Round 2) is the way to max out the money, since the lowest amount is being taken over instead of a higher amount.

Round 1: ({500 x 6} + {400 x 6} + {300 x 6} + {200 x 6} + {100 x 5}) x 2 =
Round 2: [({1000 x 6} + {800 x 6} + {600 x 6} + {400 x 6} + {200 x 4}) + {Round 1 Score} x 2] x 2 =
Final: {Total} + 99,999 = Final Score

So the final score in this fashion would be:

(3000 + 2400 + 1800 + 1200 + 500) x 2 = $17,800
{{(6000 + 4800 + 3600 + 2400 + 800) + 17,800} x 2) x 2 = $146,400
$146,400 + $99,999 = $246,399

My math is probably all helter skelter and crazy-bad written, but it fleshes out into that number, which is the highest score I believe can be attained in that game.

For those who don't know too, $99,999 is the maximum bet for a score, since you can't enter a six-digit number as a bet. If I could, the final number would be $292,800. I lose out on $46,401.

...Now why am I going in-depth about this again? O.o;

SM64 is an really interesting game to do TAS stuff with, I usally see "Freerun" videos floating around the internet, here's a recent one I just came across via Youtube. I can't actually see a home or a site for this kind of stuff (I'll edit in any I can find) perhaps Dash TAS might be able to serve as a HUB. [/throwing ideas at the wall]

(EDIT: I forgot to mention that if people like this idea, I might know the right kind of people to contact to spread it word of mouth)

I got a PM notification today, informing me that ... well, I had a PM. The message doesn't state what was in the PM, the subject, or anything at all, just "You got a PM, shithead. Log in to view it."

Well, I'm banned, and on phpbb that means you can't see shit. Literally. You have to clear your cookies, and after that you can view anything you want as a guest. (It's kind of odd, after being used to Acmlmboards where you could view everything as a guest, and even send/receive PMs, if banned. Just no posting.)

So, whatever. I try logging in by resetting my password, and it worked. Cool. Check my PMs, and... yep.

What to do next? Well, what else?

Less than two minutes from posted to banned again.

*22:22:16> DarkKobold> It appears he was unbanned accidently, so his test failed anyway.
*22:08:28> DarkKobold> Anything someone PM'd him is probably long since irrelevant

Unread message: Is it possible to send a PM to banned user? from jimsfriend, 2012-07-22 18:18:27

For someone who holds a grudge this long, I can only imagine what makes him think three hours is "irrelevant". But then again, he's DarkKobold. Between him and adelikat, annihilation of The Xkeeper Menace is their prime directive.

Haha, someone posted a pretty long-winded complaint with a lot of backing evidence that two of DK's flunkies have been abusing their power, and of course:

For starters, NO.

There are far, far more things going on behind the scenes, beyond just moderation. Recently, I've been more absent than I'd prefer. However, as of late, Mothrayas and FractalFusion have picked up that slack, and been exemplary members of the community. There is no way in hell I am going to see them punished.

A quick review of the posts in question, as well as that pitiful thread, shows that you had every intention to pick a fight. Your language has been abusive, condescending, and totally unnecessary. Additionally, no CONTENT was destroyed in the merging of the posts. They did not change meanings, or words. You are just throwing a hissy fit, for no purpose.

I've seen enough to issue a warning to YOU. We don't need this sort of behavior, and as far as I can tell, their actions were justified. Locking this thread, as well as the other one. Drop this.

THEY'RE NOT BEING THE ASSHOLES IT'S YOU. YOU ARE THE PROBLEM YOU ARE ALWAYS THE PROBLEM IT IS NOT ME NOT ME NOT ME NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT MY FAULT YOU DID IT ALL YOUR FAULT YOU ARE THE PROBLEM

But then, he says the most incredible thing ever:

Yeah, me too. You know how many times in the past year someone has accused me of being a terrible admin? About twice. Both of those people are long-removed people who most people completely agree were just terrible.

Speaking of Pure Tasvideos Class, apparently their april fools joke was apparently stuffing the forums full of Hitler propaganda or whatever. Bonus post: About halfway into the thread someone says they should ban Nach (the admin who did it, I guess) for secretly being Xkeeper.

I'm an inside joke now! Wow.

I'd say the whole nazi thing was just kind of a lazy joke, honestly. If you wanna do an April Fool's Joke right, gotta be really clever about it and not blatantly obvious. But that's neither here nor there anyway.

Also, I'll keep this in mind:

They did explain that FFS do "not encourage him" by giving him "any more attention".

I admit, when I still was a moderator (and other things), I also did tend to go somewhat to extremes to keep banned users banned.

However, while Xkeeper has (repeatedly) shown "I do not agree with you, and you do not seem to take me seriously, so I will deface you and proceed to be a general nuisance and an annoying brat" type tendencies, this is just silly.

It's not silly, it's entertaining. It'd be silly if the guy didn't get his panties in a knot over Xk's actions, which he clearly does. That is what makes it worth the time spent doing it and not silly.
