Nightwish - Elvenpath. I'm in a Nightwish sort of mood

Also, I swear the lyrics in this song sound like "magic avoidance switch".

"Money" - Mystery Skulls

This song is utterly catchy as hell to me.

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4 in F minor, Op. 36.

I'm listening to a wind ensemble arrangement played by the U.S. Navy Band. Here's the MP3.

Clockwork Angels.

Probably the best Rush album of the past twenty years.

Listening to: DDP Entrance 2001 Titantron. I don't know why, but his entrance is easily stuck in my head. Yep. WWE.

I can kind of understand where they come from, but at the same time, they should just get over the fact that Metallica changed their sound. People inherently don't like change and it bothers me when they expect a band to sound the same after every album. Personally, I would find it boring if that were the case.

Cross-posted from the Cordilon equivalent of this thread.

[1:02:53 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): So, impressions of the new Offspring album:
[1:03:11 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): First two songs: Mix of new and old Offspring punk rock sound. Good stuff.
[1:03:45 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): Third song (title track, "Days Go By"): alt-rock + punk rock = good stuff.
[1:04:10 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): Fourth and fifth tracks: Sounds like older punk Offspring. I approve.
[1:04:40 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): Sixth track: The Offspring meets LMFAO. Not a great part of the album, but better than if LMFAO alone had done it.
[1:05:01 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): Seventh: Longer, more modern rock/punk hybrid song. Me gusta.
[1:06:11 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): Eighth: I call this one "punk drum and bass". Song is about mexican gangsters in the OC.
[1:06:27 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): Ninth: Ooooooold Offspring song re-recorded. Neat.
[1:06:48 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): Tenth: Not sure what to make of this one. It doesn't fit into Offspring punk or modern rock.
[1:07:39 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): Eleventh and twelfth (final) tracks: More older punk rock style. The latter of the two tracks alludes to the movie Dr. Strangelove, or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.
[1:10:40 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): Overall impression: Four and a half stars. I've been needing a new punk rock fix for a while.

exactly. Then again, this is also my favorite sound of theirs, so... eh. It happens with RHCP a lot, too, although most people generally like most of their stuff.

Depeche Mode - Freestate
Ultra is a fucking wonderful album.
