(I have done some rom hacking, mainly SMW when it was cool and all new things were found from the rom. but nothing else, really)

Finally, I found my old computer. It's really crappy, but it can play SNES and NES games pretty fine. After installing a fresh copy of Windows on it, I started wondering what to do with it. Hacking came first to my mind.

Any suggestions where should I start? Any ideas for upcoming projects?

Translating a game accurately that no other person or group has confirmed they're working on tends to make the hacking community quite pleased.

Or you could fulfill my long-held idea, and finally dump the compressed graphics of Mega Man 7 to a .bin file so I can use them in SMW. Been wanting that for years.

Why not go back to SMW hacking? With all the new tools that have been released, it's not hard to get a quality hack out You just need good level design skills, and some experience with a hex-editor (but I don't -really- know what I'm talking about )
Or what about Zelda hacking?

Speaking of which, I should almost start hacking again.

Ya like Mega Man 3? Ya like the classic NES games like Castlevania, Kid Icarus, Zelda 2? I have this old project. I haven't worked on it for months. I feel bad leaving it collect virtual dust.

MegaFLex is a very good editor, but I just cant get into a good groove using it like other game specific editors like SMB3 Workshop or Rock&Roll.

Anyone is welcome to use my GFX changes.

SMW hacking would be the best option, since I still have some of my old projects on some CD... Hang on a minute, I'll find it.

Well, I am not really fond of Megaman, but Castlevania in the other hand was one of my old projects.
