That was the subject line of an e-mail I received a bit ago.

Hi there,

I’m Fletcher Dunn, a programmer on the TF2 team. I did some work on the little mini-ARG we released before the meet the pyro update, and I had a really good time watching you guys solve it.

Who are you, and what do you do when you’re not solving ARGs?

Yeah. Uh, remember this thing? I made this back for the Meet the Pyro update ARG, and I was pretty active in helping solve it. So, we have a few emails back and forth, and he discusses some neat stuff about the ARG that only they would really know. (They were worried about a disappointing end, and the 7/8 QRs being the same was an accident by mispasting a URL.)

Seriously wow! I am lost for words, this seriously epic news.

You need to grab the bull by the horns on this one, play your cards right and this may be the best thing that can every happen to you. Valve is awesome company and I'd love to see you (or anyone for that matter) take any chance you have to get your foot in the door.

And remember that it's OK to be a bit cynical about this. This is an opportunity that sounds too good to be true.

Drunken f00l, the guy behind sourceop and the original third-party idler program, is now employed there. I strongly suspect that isn't the only instance.
