I stopped watching broadcast TV probably 7 years ago, but lately, it's hard to avoid getting sucked in sometimes when everyone else in the house is watching and I'm in the room and whatnot.

Still, I see the ridiculous shit they do with the advertising, and the general lack of quality content, and I completely fail to understand why anyone in their right mind would pay for this garbage.

You know, it surprises me when I hear TV is censored in the states. I mean, considering that shit like COPS and etc is shown (from what I have been told) at normal hours. :/

The amount of violence in general on TV there seems very odd to me, while on the other hand if there is as much as a nipple on screen then holy crap the world is ending! Though, this seems to be something that is in the general culture in the states though.

I haven't intentionally watched anything other than Mythbusters since around the same time the theme of the History Channel was Nostradamus.

Considering Canada watches effectively a lightly relaxed version of American TV, if you guys could say fuck on air, we probably could too.
