| I agree with the people who think that many other companies deserved the award more. Whether it's Bank of America or News Corp, many are out there with deeds much worse than just releasing crappy products. |

Since indie/other devs reported high profits because of those sales.
In fact, there's more than a handful of reports that steam sales are so successful at bringing in money that it's saved a few development studios over the years.

The way the payments work out, digital downloads don't cost distributors a damn thing. Higher profits directly results from more customers, unless you drive the price down to a dozen cents or so.
Electronic Farts is stuck in an old mindset, like Borders was. And like Borders shows, if you don't adjust your business to suit the changing spending habits of your customers (not the other way around), you won't have to worry about the door hitting you in the ass on the way out because you'll be holding it in your hands. |

Uh.
That CEO has no idea what he's talking about. A lot of games have gotten discounts bigger than 50% in Origin. Outside the US.
Back in March / April we had 50-75% off discounts down in Mexico and in some European countries. I couldn't buy a damn thing, but the option was there at least.
