More like /v/ with feels and DAILY DOSE everywhere, along with attacking game groups with "2/10 would not play".

And the Pro's stick position looks awesome for Valve games. Portal and Ravenholm would play nicely with it.

Yeah. Not only did it respond right away, but there were no mess-ups either, even when the audience started cheering.

Also, I learned about the technology behind Kinect in some of my classes, so I can appreciate how it's being used in the personal trainer thing. It may not be able to read your weight, but its ability to read body movements and depth make for a lot more diverse exercises.

Wow this is the most fanboyish statement I've seen this year.

Please think about what you are saying.

You are saying that a control stick for PC-based FPS games are ideal for playing FPS games instead of a mouse and keyboard.

Even if you prefer controllers, you can't deny that mouse and keyboard controls are more precise than controller inputs. In fact, that is true. Mouse gives you more precise aiming due to full control over where you aim. Control sticks have to rely on auto-aiming and smoothing in order to function, meaning precise movements are impossible, even with sensitivity options and the like.

Even a touchpad mouse is more precise. Saying a controller would work nicely doesn't mean it should be used because it is a nice controller. Some games just function better with controllers, and some function better with mouse and keyboard. Quite frankly, your examples are absolutely weak because of that.

What's funny is that if you mentioned the default Wii U gamepad it'd be one thing (but still inferior), but you are saying the Wii U Pro controller which looks like a 360 controller (nothing wrong with that because the 360 controller rules) is perfect for FPS games.

Yeah. Because neither Half-Life 2 or Portal 2 were released on consoles whose main control method are gamepads and were tweaked to work with them.

Not ALL first person games require the 'precise aiming' that keyboard and mouse can give you. Portal 2, in particular. You can't really place portals everywhere you want, sometimes you can only place a portal within a certain area of a wall (sometimes the exact size of a portal) by design. And Ravenholm? Most of the time you'll be using the Gravity Gun to throw saws, bricks or radiators at zombies, so you don't need perfect aim. Plus HL2 HAS auto aiming anyway!

I'm sorry, but chastising someone because he said he'd like to play a company's FPS games with this controller like that... doesn't that sound a little bit fanboyish to you?

I dunno what post you read, but I saw "looks awesome" and "would play nicely", not "is better than keyboard/mouse" or "is perfect for FPS games". WiiU Pro does look way better/comfortable for FPS gaming than offset thumbsticks on the 360, and my thumbs won't mash together like they do on the PS3.

The only thing that looked good to me from Microsoft's presentation was Halo 4. And even then. More Halo!
Doubt we'll see any big reveals on Sony's end, either.

EA made a mistake last night by leaking the Premium trailer to YouTube for BF3 one day too early (it's removed shortly after).

While I'm opposed to the premium package, do note that all of the addons will be $15 each.

Verdict for EA's E3 2012

There weren't many surprises, and the only element of surprise is the mobile devices and a Facebook app of SimCity. Everyone else may have heard a few other titles already (Dead Space 3, Crysis 3), so this one isn't very fancy.

How is it being a fanboy pointing out the obvious? What am I even being a fanboy for? I never said the controller sucks. I said it is inferior for FPS games, and to say Half-Life 2 would play well with a control stick setup is absolutely hilarious.

Also EA was pretty bad.

I'd swear, if Ubisoft and Sony fails to deliver anything interesting, this is going to be the most embarrassing year ever, Nintendo or no Nintendo.

Good thing to come out of EA's show: Need for Speed Most Wanted

Cause I loved the original, and this just looks like Burnout Paradise 2: Now We Have Cop Chases.

Yeah that is the only game that really mattered for EA. Dead Space 3 lost the horror element, and all the other games were pretty bleh and SPORTS.

Need For Speed Most Wanted looked like Burnout so always good.

Instead of simply disagreeing with the guy over his opinion about the sticks being good for the specific Valve games he mentioned... you went overboard and typed a paragraphs-long retort bashing the use of gamepads in FPS games and praising the mice / keyboard, when it had little to do with the topic at hand. Which was the guy saying he thought the sticks would be good for Valve games. Valve games.

Half-Life 2 and Portal 2 are pretty simple by FPS standards. You don't use a lot of weapons (despite carrying a huge arsenal in HL2), and don't need pinpoint accuracy so it's possible to play the games with a gamepad.

I sure as hell wouldn't try to play TF2 with a gamepad, but simple, single player games? I'd do it.

To me Crysis 3 was more of Crysis 2 gone bad. Crysis 2 was just linear to a fault and multiplayer just ripped off Call of Duty, right down to the killstreak rewards for picking up dogtags. Medal of Honor Warfighter might make a lively community if the players don't treat it like a campfest like they did with BF3, but that's about it.

Criterion's Most Wanted was the biggest highlight (they did the 2010 Hot Pursuit as well as a downloadable game Burnout Crash!). We'll see how this will turn out in the future though.

Pretty much my exact opinion.

When they revealed all that to be multiplayer?

Holy fuck that was one HELL of a drop.
