Someone actually went through the trouble of creating a stylesheet that makes a quite ordinary-looking website like that.

Still, it's pretty cool that you can choose different stylesheets for that page.

Actually, the most vivid memory of this is bluemountain.com's old website, back in 1996.

I dunno, it just has a certain charm to it.

I never said that using FrontPage or DreamWeaver was good design, I was simply stating that benig able to slap a valid CSS/(X)HTML sticker on a page is not a replacement for good page design.

I hate FrontPage as much as the next guy, but there are a lot of sites I visit that aren't valid HTML that are still good design.

Apparently you weren't around much on the web in '96; pretty much every page like that were made by high school kids thinking that they know how to code because they could use the WYSIWYG editor the week. Be it FrontPage, Netscape Composer, Dreamwaver, Mosaic, whatever

Back in my day, we hurled hideous pictures like that everywhere and make abominations which flashed all kinds of colors. I remember those days.
