Exaggerate much?

Because frankly, that's the problem here.

Aha! So that's what bugs you. Welp, sorry, but you're screwed then. I can't stop exaggerating if I want to. That's why I ask people to neutrally or politely tell me when I do, rather than make vague posts about it that are confusing. Sucks to be you, but I'm 101,000% certain of it continuing, whether I want to or not.

Oh, but feel free to keep telling me it's a problem. You're not saying anything I don't already know. Now if you want to get rid of something erroneous that I've said, by all means, point out where it is and why... but a single sentence just won't work, I'm afraid. A single sentence does not have enough information to determine whether I actually made another mistake or if the person just dislikes me and wishes my posts would go away.

Anyway, back on topic, that article is written by a non-lawyer lawyer who, at the end, throws up his hands and goes "I don't really know how far they're willing to go!" He claims it'd be suicide for any of them to do anything shady, while ignoring that all of them collect tons of data on users as it is.

There's a reason thoughts like mine are often an "inconvenient" truth. Believe me and you can't use services like that for anything you wouldn't mind seeing used to target ads at you or otherwise. But hear me out here--I predicted Google would become how it is today, before it did. "Do no Evil" was a silly shield it hid behind while they intensified their mining of data. It's a Corporation, it'll do whatever it wants with your data while claiming it was in your favor.

Now, 9 times out of 10, will that mean anything to an average user? No. They don't want average user's stuff. They are just gonna look at it to target ads, if anything at all. But I wouldn't want to be the 10th user, posting some software code or something and finding Google using their idea somewhere down the line.

Weell, that changes one line there.

Still, he hasn't noted that as official legal advice, and random legal advice given by a lawyer like that isn't going to necessarily reflect the reality.

I'm saying people should be cautious. Some people love the idea of just handing their private data to corporations. I don't. And I will keep saying it, regardless of how unpopular that opinion may be.

No offense meant Metal, but if you would make your statements more like that last post, it might sway more opinions than the longer ones.

Concise is not a word that would normally apply to your posts.

Don't be mad.

As for google drive, eh. I'll use it as a filedump now and then, but anything important I'll drop elsewhere. Same rules I use for Dropbox.
