So I met with the store manager at American Apparel and my friends who work there are trying to help put a good word in. I hope something β€œcool” happens.

As bad as the Water Temple was to map, the Shadow Temple is worse. It's like every room has a new double-texture shader that I need to compensate for. At least it doesn't have any water.

Okay, first exam went well. However, I have two APs that I have barely scratched the surface of that I am taking in a few days. It's going to be a rough week.

I'm currently working on a paint job in Forza 4 using the Dark Souls theme. So far I'm getting the first step with the Dark Souls text. Everything else is bare-bones so far.

Rendering a large 3D logo in Blender. (First time.)

This is taking so long.

I wonder if anyone ever bought games such as that Twilight one for the DS, or America's Next Top Model for the Wii? Licensed games tend to suck more often than not, with some exceptions like the Star Wars games...

Sometimes the better licenses games are found on the "weaker" platforms (multi-platform releases that ended up on GBA or Wii or whatever) because sometimes the company lets a different development team (or a bunch of new hires) give it a go. One example I can think of is TMNT from '07... most versions were quite average but the GBA one basically tried to channel the old arcade Ninja Turtles titles and worked quite well.

Be glad it doesn't contain any ice or glass! If you tried to use anything even remotely realistic in terms of caustics or light refraction, the render time would be enormous!

can you use the time to goof off then tell your superiors (if you have anything), that the model is rendering in order to leave you alone? (Vague XKCD reference there)

I am just talkative tonight. Then again, Xanax seems to do that for me for weird reasons.

Yeah, I need a clean one as well, as some things can get corrupted, like a Yoshi's Island mountain background in Mario's Strange Quest, or the sword-wielding Cage Koopas in SMW YEEEAAAAH!

I've been wide awake for 19 hours after a four hour nap last night. I blame caffeine for that.

Caffeine isn't that much of a miracle drug. Unless it's hooked up to your veins, that is.

Clearly you have never had six pots worth of coffee in 10 or so hours.

Trying to make sense of last night's dream. Whatever it was, there was a lot of personal meaning and I kinda want to piece it together.

My friend spent a year taking computer science, learning Java and HTML. She built a webpage.
She uses spaces in her URLs. And not because she likes the look of %20. I know it's kind of a minor thing, but you'd think that'd be covered?

6 POTS of coffee, no. Maybe 3 or 4 cups in a short period of time, yes.

But 6 pots sounds like severe OD'ing of caffeine.

I'm actually in a really good mood after taking a few days off.

And to top that off, I think I'll be able to think positively now.

It's just a matter of doing it when I'm depressed (which is unfortunately often. Guess I'll have plenty of chances to turn that around.)

On my trip to Chicago by bus I was awake for about 40-42 hours (the entire duration of the trip + the 10 hours or so before leaving, I had to work that day) or so without the need of caffeine, energy drinks, or anything like that. I believe it was the excitement.

Thinking positively is incredibly difficult when you're depressed. Unfortunately, I know this from experience.

Seriously, few things set me off more than people telling me to "lighten up" or whatever when I'm depressed, because it's just not that simple.

Speaking of which, I got really depressed last night. Like, totally hopeless-feeling. And I did some things I'm going to regret.
