I just looked at that list.

Holy shit, thank God I didn't choose Columbia College or SAIC for art school. Screw the fact that my sister is making fun of the fact that AAU sounds like a fake school, at least it's still cheaper than here! Hell, SAIC is slightly less expensive than CalArt, which was a choice I gave myself back when I was still choosing schools, alongside Joe Kubert School.

AAU, ultimately, despite being for profit, might end up actually being the cheapest school out of the whole lot. JKS being an exception, but it's a pretty tough school. One F in any of your classes and you repeat the entire year.

Is it still cheaper than University of Illinois in Chicago? According to the college board, their in-state tuition is $12k and their average financial need package is of $14k.

In general, I feel like going to a really cheap state college is better than a for-profit school... Also, Columbia College is just $22k a year if you don't need to stay in the dorms. That's about the same as what my previous university was charging me.

To put it simply, UIC doesn't have an animation-type major.

Plus I want to get out of here and live on my own.

I'm slightly confused--You are annoyed that the price of your college... went down?

Mine is sixth on that list, Vanderbilt. However, I did manage to grab a few thousand in scholarships. It'll be quite a while before I'll be able to pay back that loan.

No, more annoyed that I paid the higher cost. I went for a semester before deciding college wasn't for me.

That and the fact I just had to choose an expensive place to go to college. Damn my not caring about finances.

I just got into Tufts University in Medford!

On behalf of the Admission Committee I am delighted to offer you transfer admission to the School of Arts and Sciences at Tufts University. You wrote an impressive application, and I invite you to begin study with our Faculty in September.

Tufts received a large and talented pool of transfer applicants this fall, and your admission to the University reflects our confidence in your outstanding academic and personal record. Tufts places a high premium on intellectual curiosity, citizenship and originality and you are clearly a student who embodies these qualities. We look forward to welcoming you to our undergraduate community next semester.

Their financial aid award consists of: ALMOST FULL SCHOLARSHIP! The total amount in loans will be about $3k to $5k a year (for a total cost of attendance of $60k).

Now I have to visit both of them, because they're both about as prestigious and good, so making a decision will be tough. So I will probably be going to Boston very soon! Although, Georgetown's financial aid is slightly better, I think. I'll have to go through it well.

Well, according to the letter, I have until May 22 to respond. So I would have to go up there next week. I'm off next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, so I'll probably be looking for tickets departing on Tuesday.

Do you think I could spend the night at your place? It's not feasible to return the same day (this is by bus) and a hotel would probably be too expensive. I really have to go because I've never been to Boston (as opposed to DC), so I'd find it a bit difficult to make a decision without knowing where I would be living for the next few years.

Also, hanging out sounds fun~

Are you just staying one night? Because that could totally be cool as long as you're cool with sleeping on a couch and eating breakfast I cook in the morning. :J

I dunno ... I've talked to several people and they've all but convinced me to choose Georgetown over Tufts. In the case that I choose to go to Georgetown and not visit Boston next week, I still have a whole summer to go. I really want to go up there anyway to meet you and Nicole, so I'll do what I can to go sometime.

What has made me hesitate of going is that the deadline to reply is just the 22nd, so it must be next week, and I would probably have to tweak my work hours to make that work out... Also the forecast says it will be miserably rainy next week.

Not worth the money it would cost to get it.

Georgetown at #5?!?

I know it's not by a HUGE margin, but it surprises me to see it outrank all the Ivy League schools.

It's a shocker, but that just brings even more congratulations to FieryIce for basically getting in there for free.

I have a growing interest in getting a tattoo. I'm seriously thinking of one or two of the crest symbols from Digimon, but aside from not having money for it right now, I'm not entirely dedicated to what two symbols I want. I'm 80% I want friendship for the first one, but I'm way more split between the second.

I'm really thinking about getting a Sonic the Hedgehog tattoo (which would be my fourth tat). I already have a NES controller, which is from my childhood and then after that, I went to SEGA and loved Sonic, so there's meaning behind it.

I really enjoyed watching Digimon when I was younger. I should re-watch it.
