Breaking up is never easy -- having 32 teeth ripped out is even worse.

A scorned dentist is facing jail time after surgically removing all of her ex-boyfriend's teeth after he dumped her, authorities in London said.

Marek Olszewski, 45, made the mistake of scheduling an appointment this week with his ex -- 34-year-old Anna Mackowiak -- for a toothache, according to the Daily Mail.

So Mackowiak allegedly did what any burned lover with a set of pliers and some anesthetic would do: she doped him up, pulled out all his teeth, and wrapped his head with bandages so he wouldn't notice until he left her office.

"I tried to be professional and detach myself from my emotions," she told the news site. "But when I saw him lying there I just thought, 'What a b-----d.'"

Olszewski could tell something was wrong when he awoke and couldn't feel any teeth in his mouth. But he said Mackowiak assured him that he'd be fine once the numbness wore off, NDTV reported.

"I didn't have any reason to doubt her -- I mean I thought she was a professional," he said.

He was wrong.

"But when I got home I looked in the mirror and I couldn't f--king believe it," he said. "The b--ch had emptied my mouth."

Worse, Olszewski's new girlfriend dumped him because, well, she couldn't date a man without any teeth, the Daily Telegraph reported.

Mackowiak is under investigation for medical malpractice and abusing the trust of a patient. She could face three years in jail for the alleged stunt. Olszewski plans on saving money to get "indents or something."

This is absolutely horrifying ... ALL of your teeth pull off?? Gah, she deserves more jail time and to have her dental license permanently revoked.

Just thinking about it makes me cringe.

That's really screwed up. On one hand trusting an ex with that was a generally bad idea. But I guess you can't blame him too much for trusting her.

But eck, I think SHE should be paying for all his new teeth. Alongside whatever extra damages occur(ed) in relation to his having been removed.

Yeah, nothing about that seems like a good idea.

I'm sorry, but as terrifying as this situation is, I can't help but crack up over this:

"But when I got home I looked in the mirror and I couldn't f--king believe it," he said. "The b--ch had emptied my mouth."

I think that the guy was an absolute idiot if he purposefully made the appointment with his ex just to spite her. However, she was absolutely out of her mind if she did not care about the consequences of what she was about to do.

This is extremely freaky. I guess he is slightly luckier that he had lived a good deal of his life rather than younger. I don't know how anyone would handle it if they were only 20 years old and had to live a life with dentures and false teeth... Either way, like anyone else, I would hate to be in his place.

I'm gonna say that both people were stupid, though I still feel bad for the now toothless son of a gun.

1.) You do not get revenge on someone like that by taking advantage of your profession. Unethical, petty, and downright stupid.

2.) You do not book an appointment with your ex for this type of thing anyway. Find a different person to go to. A little inconvenience to move to a different dentist will save a lot of trouble later. Guy should've been smart enough to do that.

Oh, love does make fools of us all.

This punishment I would actually prefer over three years in jail. Strip her of her dentistry license and make her have to pay for new teeth plus damages. Some jail time? Perhaps, but three whole years doesn't feel right to me. It's too much of a general, arbitrary punishment when in this case a more specific punishment utilizing minimal jail time would both fit the crime and hopefully save taxpayer money.

Yeah, how does putting her in jail help him any?

Well, that was fun while it lasted. I bet this kind of internet hoaxes will only get more widespread, and especially so thanks to how much tweets seem to influence the news. If enough people tweet it, it will become "breaking news" somewhere.

This smelled of an urban legend early on. I guess even today news outlets can be fooled into posting made up stories.
