Two copies of mIRC, Firefox Nightly, Foxit Reader, MadEdit, Thunderbird, Winamp, Explorer and MSPaint.

Yeah, it's weird. But this is only about half of what I have open when I'm really doing a lot of crazy stuff at once.

Opera, with many tabs related to BIOS-level x86 programming
Windows Explorer (x3)
Media Player Classic Home Cinema
Sticky Notes
Pidgin
javaw.exe
7-Zip File Manager
Command Prompt
Notepad++
Calculator
HxD

I'm trying to write a horrible hybrid boot sector for my flash drive. So far, it prints some text on the screen and reboots. Eventually, it'll load and execute a file from the FAT16 filesystem. (Perhaps I'll write a FAT32 version once that's done.)

Pidgin, Skype, Opera, FileZilla, Winamp, and a couple of folders, in that order. Mostly business as usual.

Right now, Firefox, Winamp (playing Stemage), NP++, XChat, Steam and my e-mail.

Within Firefox, two Jul tabs, two Metroid Construction Forums tabs (one tab of each forum being a secret place), Facebook, a Pokemon drinking game and two Project Free TV tabs, one of which currently has Two and a Half Men on.

Normally, I'd have HxD, Lunar Address, Paint, TLP and SMILE RF open too.

At work right now, so I have work applications open. And they must be in this specific order:

Outlook, file browser, Internet Explorer (for work web apps), Excel 2007, Lynx ASE_ISQL, Toad for Oracle, Chrome.

I prefer to always have my programs open in the same order, it helps me be more efficient. And since we're still on XP, I can't rearrange them at will like you can on Vista & 7.

At least you can group them. What I ended up doing was enabling grouping but setting the combine limit to 99, so even if the bar was full it'd go into multicolumn mode rather than combine stuff. Same grouping, less stupid!

Right now at work I have these things open:

- Winamp (playing bitwave tracks)
- Firefox (with bitwave open so I can vote+req+rate)
- Opera (of course)
- PuTTY hooked up to noroi.xkeeper.net for irssi (and some other work sessions)
- Janetter (@xkeepah and sometimes @xkeepahPLUS)
- Notepad++
- Skype
- Steam with TF2 open on an achievement_idle_noglass map
- MySQL workbench

There's a few other things (did you know you can get me via AIM at XkeeperNaN? now you do!) but most of it is in the list above.

IRC (X-Chat), Steam, Hamachi, MSN, Firefox (this page and some YouTube video), and Foobar.

Sounds about right. I don't usually have much else open.

On Zeus:
Chrome (RBIL, VirtualBox SVN, OSDev.org, Jul, Cordilon)
Windows Explorer (four folders full of ASM files)
TweetDeck (@kazinsal)
Skype (eight chats)
Winamp Pro (Dream Theater)
WinImage (Blacklight OS image)
Notepad++ (dozens of assembler files)
Command Prompt (build scripts)
VirtualBox (slow as hell for some reason)
Calculator (dec<->hex<->bin)
Steam (chats with in-game people)
Qemu (Blacklight OS testing)
FileZilla (transferring Blacklight OS files to Keres)
PuTTY (SSH'd into Keres to write files to a floppy)

On Keres:
Not quite sure, SSH'd in.

On Athena:
Depends on what's booted. If Blacklight OS, whatever I'm testing (last thing was a Chips & Technologies detection routine). If OpenBSD, probably nothing because my install crapped itself.

My mind.

Also Jul (Firefox), a text editor, XChat, Gmail (Chromium), and a couple terminals, across two machines, with the third about to have its OS upgraded.

About 70-80 tabs in Chrome, Sticky Notes, Mozilla Firefox, Onenote, Windows Journal, Calculator, Excel, Word, Notepad, and Adobe Reader.

All while the computer has been working for a few days straight

I'm feeling too lazy to save everything, but if the computer crashes, I'll lose all.

Two Firefox browser windows, Windows Live Messenger, AIM, Skype, Winamp, and the Calculator that comes with Windows 7.

Sans the last two, this is very commonplace.
