He really should. The setup is sweet

They'll glitch out (randomly flash garbage) for a few frames every few minutes, killing hardware accelleration and requiring a driver restart.

I'm the only one who ever used it (when I was using his computer), and due to where it is I can't very well use it with my laptop...

Kind of annoying, really, considering it'd be nice to use --

OMG A PIC WAS HERE!

Things to note:
  • I have glasses.
  • I have the rosetta@home screensaver. It keeps my CPU busy.
  • That gold thing next to the left speaker is a CPU, pins up.
  • My disk ejector (unbent paperclip) is by the right speaker.

Also, the front of my computer. (Big)

Hate to go off topic, but I just did a bit of research, and this rosetta@home sounds great! I'm going to try it, I don't beleive it will beat the crap out of my CPU

Oh, and I would post an image of my desktop, but my camera's programs arn't on my computer

Does that card act normally if only one screen is used? I had to upgrade mine to do 2 screens at full resolution too, but it also had a load of other problems. Don't even think about trying to do 3D on it, especially if you have any translucent windows on the screen. Eugh. (I suspect the drivers were responsible for the majority of the problems, though.)

Fortunately, a decent new card only cost me $140 or so. Why not upgrade?

His card isn't bad at all, and it ony wigs out in 2-monitor mode.

(I don't think he can upgrade his. That is, I think it's the top of the line card for that particular slot type.)

You see... All PS3s require a monitor/TV that supports HDCP to output any video whatsoever using the HDMI port. Including just the XMB! Yes, it is frankly quite stupid.

Yes, that's a Phoenix Wright plushie attached to my DS.

There are various items on my desk (NO REALLY HUH), such as an Easy Button, a Link gashapon toy, a small and large rubber band ball, some Mario Kart things, two Mega Man 'figures (Bass can barely be seen), various papercrafts on my router... you get the picture.

OMG I Have the same Maxtor drive that you have on the bottom of your picture, and just FYI, NEVER INSTALL THE ONE-TOUCH BACKUP SOFTWARE!
Everytime I turn on mu computer, I find the process MaxBackServiceInt.exe running and taking up >50% of the CPU.

It's a Radeon X1950 Pro. Not top of the line anymore (that would be the 2xxx series), but certainly more than capable of running two monitors. I don't think it's defective, I think it just needs a driver update...which I'm not getting until I upgrade to XP. I don't understand why the newer drivers aren't compatible with 2K, they're practically the same OS...

Also, it's a PCI-E card, which is nowhere near obsolete...

As you can see here, Xbox 360 is a lot more forgiving. It only enables the protection under HDMI for certain situations involving movies. Not it's main menu and games like PS3 sadly does.
