I need to ask this since the rules state I can't, and I really want to know so I can optimize for the right sprite placement: Are we allowed to do a fix for the classic pirhana plant?

I also think I need to look into someone play testing my level, hmmm.

Alright, cool, I'll use the jumping kind instead then.

It kinda makes me wonder why they never used/fixed the normal ones for SMW. They are coded in, after all. Not to mention the upside down ones are in use. I suppose this is another mystery to add to my list of things "the world may never know!" :specialed:

Are there any remaining slots left to plug in a level? Decided on a whim to make a level in about 90 minutes (as I was bored) and I want to see if I'd still be able to enter it. I know I'm not gonna win any awards with it, but I tried making it fair difficulty-wise.

I've actually been working on my level for a few days now, and I realized that I forgot to post in the thread. So I'll officially enter now, haha. I've played through some of the other levels entered, and I have to say that I'm impressed; definitely good competition.

Slots 13 and 112 are sufficient. Please let me know if either of these areas are already taken; a quick skim through the thread told me that they were not, but it's fairly simple to overlook these things. :specialed:

My entry should be uploaded (along with screenshots, I guess) by either tonight or tomorrow morning. Good luck, everyone!

I just got done with my level. (Thanks for testing it Girly! )

Concept: A tunnel that goes through a hill.
Difficulty: Early mid-game.
Exits: 2
Easter eggs: 1
Regrets: No grappling blocks or bat robes.


If anyone is having any problems with the patch please notify me and I'll dump the level files instead. This level starts on level 101 but uses level 10F as well. What this means is that the level is in the first castle in world 1 for those of you that want to play it. I did not want to mess with the overworld in case I would break something.

Yeah I can agree with that.

If you design only to go after guidelines set, then you're missing out on designing what you really want to make. And a your design should always, in my book, represent what you would enjoy to both design and play.

After submitting this level, I question if I should get in on it again.

It's not that I think it's horrible or anything, but I certainly -squandered- all the time I could have spent working on it, or my schoolwork, or anything. Best to keep the things on my plate at a minimum.
(goes worse when you realize I really did start work on this on the first day)
