What editor are you referring to specifically? I know Super Mario Galaxy has had some tools created for it, but I believe they are very rough and still not ready for "mass consumption" like Lunar Magic or Toad'sTool are.

If you really want help, be more specific in terms of what you are trying to accomplish. Saying "I don't know how to use it," is not a good reason to make a forum post. Try to do something specific, like "change this goomba into a turtle." Then, if you have problems doing that, someone familiar with the tool you are using might be able to actually give you useful advice on how to accomplish that. Add a screen shot or two to your post if you think it will help get your point across.

Your post is extremely vague and to be honest, even if there are total SMG experts reading your post, they will be hesitant to reply to such an uninviting post.
