I seem to be having a problem with my computer screen I bought 2 months ago and it has a green line that never goes away.
Anyone knows what causes this or how to fix it?
Thanks in advance for the help

Here is a picture of the problem: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6993882/2012-03-14%2021.23.44.jpg

Habe you tried anything to fix it? Different resolutions, messing with the cable, etc. It's probably a dead column or 2, which you're probably just screwed if that's the case.

I've seen this problem before, and I'm almost 100% certain it's the monitor. A bad cable would cause different types of visual anomalies, due to the way VGA and DVI/HDMI signals work.

Just to be sure, try changing resolutions. If the line doesn't change or move at all, it is definitely a monitor problem.

I'm sure if it was a wire problem there would be a different problem than just a single line and setting the resolution too high wouldn't do that either. its likely to be the monitor itself, check if the wires are connected properly and set the resolution lower, if that doesn't work try to get a new monitor.

I know it's not likely to be the cable or connections, but it's good to cover the bases. Weird syncissues can manifest in all kinds of bizarre artifacts.

If it persists across multiple sources of input, it is the monitor. All I can suggest is to try various "pixel unsticking" programs to see if it is in any way recoverable.

"Pixel unstickers" only work for individual pixels, not entire columns (they're entirely different problems).
