I know some rich guy who prefers high-def stuff, so I often get older games. This time it's a number of PS2 ones.

From Russia With Love: Have on Xbox.
Socom Combined Assualt
Sega Genesis Collection: Yay! Finally, legal Phantasy Star II/III/IV!
Battlefield 2 Modern Combat: Still sealed.
Call of Duty 3: Have on Xbox 360. Great series though.
Total Overdose
Spyhunter Nowhere to Run
Resident Evil Code Veronica X
God of War 2
Ghost Rider
Psi-Ops
Metal Slug Anthology
Resident Evil 4: Have on Wii and PC.
Medal of Honor Frontline
Medal of Honor Rising Sun
Medal of Honor European Assualt: Duplicate.
Goldeneye Rouge Agent
Jet Li Rise to Honor
The Matrix Path of Neo
Medal of Honor Vanguard

Silly, yeah. But I'm not complaining.

So much for shelf space... My PS1 stuff is on the bookshelf since there wasn't nearly enough room as it is.

Well, last Christmas I got Big Brain Academy (DS) from my mom's coworker...
Pretty fun game, but I haven't played it in months, now.

Nearly 85% of the games I own are borrowed and never returned or just given to me. I own approx. 300 games.

There does seem to be a ninja-esque thief around here though... I've had some items mysteriously disappear.

3 DVD box sets: The Chronicles of Riddick Trilogy, Ranma 1/2 Season 4, Tekkaman Blade volume 1.

2 PS2 games: Final Fantasy X (but not X-2), Kingdom Hearts II (but not part 1).

And I think maybe Terminator 3. Unsure about it though.

Strange.

ShaddowKarate bought me a copy of Ikaruga (Gamecube). I just got it today.

My friend Phillip (if any of you went to Tek ages ago, he was Vagabond Elf there) loaned me Front Mission 3, Vandal Hearts, and some other games for PS1 when his PS1 broke. Naturally, he hasn't gotten them back, since he doesn't have a working PS1 yet.

And of course there's the Christmas gifts from the family - more games than I care to remember, honestly.

I received a Gamecube the other day. Now if I could find the other parts I need I could hack Gamecube games.

I think the last time my parents got me a game as a present was Metroid Prime.

Almost all of my NES games were gifts which explains why my small library can include Back to the Future, Dragon Warrior (NOT a Nintendo Power freebie!), Startropics, Lode Runner, Mighty Bomb Jack, Crystal Mines, 8 Eyes and Blaster Master among others.

Weirdest game I have is a Japanese copy of Hook for the Game Boy.

None really. I feel more satasfied Buying my own games.

On the other hand, I do have over 7 PS2 games that I let people borrow (even PS1 games like Rival Schools.)

I want my Capcom classics back!

Edit- oops, I need sleep, I closed the bold tag with /a

Ω > U
Last two DECENT games I was ever given was about six or so years ago. That goes to X-Men: Mutant Academy and some Hot Wheels game on the PSX.

I did say decent, didn't I? Surprisingly enough, X-Men was one hell of a good fighter (one I wish I could get again, I've since lost both discs) and the Hot Wheels game was a really good racing game, even featuring BGM tracks from things like Metallica (Fuel, for one).

A good 90% of the time, however, if I'm not dictating what should be bought, I usually got crap for games. That's why I buy my own as it is.

Other people don't really give me/us games, but there has been one exception.

Super Mario Bros. (NES), given to me by my uncle before I got a SNES.
Mega Man III, given by my brother's short and annoying friend, again before SNES.

This doesn't count birthday presents.

The NES along with Super Mario Bros. was given to me from my grandfather around the same time it came out. My first video game, ever. My fate was sealed.
Other than that, a friend of mine gave me Super Paper Mario because he "was bored with it," about 2 weeks ago. I've beat it 3 times, and I'm working on 100%ing it.

Woooooooooorld of Warcraft, got it for a birthday present, but otherwise I use to buy them myself. Mario Kart: Double Dash is the only game, which I got for christmas present, oh and Pokemon Blue so many years ago.

Good days. Also I have borrowed lots of games, never returned them.

My precious Red Alert 2.... IT'S ALL MINE!

When I was very young, my older cousins got an SNES and gave me their NES and every single game they had for it. Most of them were not that good, but, yeeaah. Aside from that, I guess you could say most games I have were given to me, because I bought them with money from B-day/Christmas/whatever. But general practice is, unless it's a system, I just get a predetermined amount of money to spend on things.
