I was pouring liquid nitrogen earlier today, overfilled the dewar and had to pour it out on the floor- since I was kneeling at the time, my knees got rather cold but I thought nothing of it... now, however, I have large red sores on my knees...

The PC BIOS has a lot of options, many of which have little or no discernible effect on my computer. A few, like S1/S3 enable, change whether my computer goes into standby with fans on, fans off, or not at all.

Today, I've discovered there is one that decides if my floppy disk drive should randomly corrupt data as it reads and writes.

(Okay, so I don't really need it, but I do like being able to use my 386.)

So I watched Moulin Rouge for the first time tonight.

Just.. wow. Beautifully tragic. And the music.. it was just so good.

That must feel terrible :s I remember before I started working, my savings were in the $50-$150 range ... I would have to survive by sometimes eating nothing but peanut butter and spending whole days in the all-you-can-eat buffet in campus.

Yeah, the feeling's pretty awful. At least if I'm unable to go I can get the $500 housing deposit refunded. Desperately trying to get funds, but scholarships are hard to win, I might get screwed out of having more grant money than I already have, parents are against loans like it's the devil (not that I blame them entirely), applying to jobs but either failing to get an interview or failing the interview due to cocksuck social skills...
