This is a Pokemon Firered reference document that contains all that you need for a reference for scripting. It has specials, tilesets, what the movement words are, etc.

I need to compile my Emerald data in to a readable, understandable format >__> I have a significantly large portion of the game completely mapped out and documented fairly well, its just that the data is not organized for anyone who isn't me to possibly understand and scattered across at least three harddrives I imagine once I get things organized though I could begin on an Emerald disassembly, assuming I can come to grips with GBA ASM 8D

Sometimes when editing a trainer, it will run too far and bump into another trainer. I've had this happen when just swapping one Pokemon for another. That's why I just use it to grab data.

It's a great tool though, it just makes me paranoid.

Pretty much what you said. I had that issue with PET, though, which I assume was different from battled? though, I brought the PET issues to your (interdpth) attention so I just assumed battled had addressed those none the less, yeah, I used them both for grabbing data and doing it by hand, simply because I'm reeeeally paranoid and OCD sometimes

I spent far more time than I wanted to trying to get sappy to work. Downloading extra ocx files, registering them, running it in Windows XP mode, trying out older versions; no matter what I do, it just refuses to open.

Yeah, that's a reason I do a lot of my hacking in a Windows XP Virtual Machine - A lot of things crap themselves if you try it on a newer OS.

Also Pac, if you're interested in music editing there's an alternative posted earlier in this topic by myself.

Did you try this version? http://darkdata.rustedlogic.net/pokecarp/sappy_mod.zip? It runs fine on Vista/7 for me.

honestly its better just to do it all by hand in the actual music tools and only use sappy to insert the compiled data sappy is...in its current form, by all intents and purposes, functional but in a really, really awkward way. Which, considering who took over, isn't too surprising
